Calvin Pace is the guy who loses contain 5 times a game, it seems. What a horrendous year he's had.

    ^^^^THIS^^^^

He is a big reason why RB's get to the outside for big gains.

Depends on the call and who is in control of which gap.

With out ends they have to occupy both the guard and the tackle if they want Pace with outside containment. Many times Pace is blitzing the middle so it would be his job to occupy the blockers to free up our DE to contain the outside.

This is also why DBs are so important in Rex' defense, they would be responsible for to contain the outside depending on the call.

I hate when we load up to one side because it seems like every time we do a audible is called or the the play was designed to go either way to begin with and than the offense has a free runner for 8 yards until a DB can get to him.

Bart Scott is invaluable to this team for his intangible leadership qualities as well as his play on the field. As aforementioned, he does a lot of the gritty and less than glorious work on defense. All Hail Bart Scott.

Reason #92304 why people who judge a player based off of stats know nothing about football (sports).

Scott's play has declined the last few weeks but especially in pass coverage. Love the leadership but you gotta make some plays to. He's killing us. Talk is cheap and I ain't basing nothing on stats, don't even know his #s, just watch them play.

Love Bart and it's obvious how important he is in our system. The biggest worry I have with him is how can we find someone to replace him.

Jerseys are expensive and you're on a tight budget?

He's under contract for awhile. No reason to worry about a replacement yet

    He's not killing them.

He grades out extremely well every week.

You don't know what to look for.

Bart Scott is a very good player. He made more plays last year, but he's still been solid this year as well.

bart scott is a motor, and we need guys like that.

but the problem w/our d [other than the lack of pass rush] is we just dont have any impact players.
