Decent points in your beginning but way off on the end part. i think the main argument here is this years strength of schedule of both teams, and the jets has been clearly harder, especially the last 4 weeks, which is the plus for them at this time.
just curious how you rate Sanchez's stats for the Miami and NE games. In both instances, he had one great game and one absolutely horrible game.
Weeks 2 and 3 Sanchez vs Ne- 220 yards passing, 3 Tds, 0 INTs, and a QB rating of 124.3 Sanchez vs Miami- 256 yards passing, 3 TDs, 0 INTs, and QB rating of 120.5 Is that what you meant?
Like I said earlier, the Chiefs have not beaten a playoff team all year. While we beat 2 legit Super Bowl contenders. Chiefs SOV is .387 and .404 SOS
MB Green- Sanchez did have a good game against Cincy be it against one of the worst defences in the post season last year..He only needed to throw the ball 15 times so obviously the Jets were leaning more heavy on the run....What happened in San Diego? I don't see anybody bringing that game up? I can see why since his stats were :12/23 100 4.3 1 1 60.1
Well c'mon, nobody knew that before the season. The Chargers, the Niners, the Titans, and the Texans were all supposed to be division leaders or contenders before the season started. A lot of teams busted.
tbh, the Chiefs have beat the same number of opponents with winning records as the Jets. NE in weak 2 Pit in weak 15
yep and then Sanchez vs Ne- 164 yards passing, 0 Tds, 3 INTs, and a QB rating of 27.8 Sanchez vs Miami- 216 yards passing, 0 TDs, 1 INTs, and QB rating of 45.3
I'm not on here pumping up some stats for specific games against shitty defenses. I'm not sure what your point is?
First of all...we were and still are a "run first" team. When called upon, Sanchez answered the bell in the playoffs last year.....I don't know what your expectations were....the bottom line is, we were able to win those games. And if injuries to S.Greene and our secondary didn't materialize....I think we could've taken Indy in the AFCCG. Considering some of your earlier comments....you were probably expecting Peyton type numbers from Sanchez (a rookie btw) BTW.....The Bengals swept thru their division...and sport one of the top CB tandems in the league with Joseph and L.Hall. I wouldn't say their defense was terrible. They just couldn't stop the run....that's a testament to our run game.
You missed the Colts game, 257 yards, 1 INT, QB rating of 93.3 In the AFC Championship game, now his chemistry with Edwards is a thousand times better, add in Holmes on top of Greene pounding the the ball down your throat and this will be a fun game to watch for Jet fans. Please come back and tell us how right we were. Cassel in his 6th year has no playoff experience, had a shit year last year against a actual NFL schedule. Lost to SD both times last year Cassel playing horribly in both games, just to name two. Sanchez had a better rookie year than Cassel did 5th year.
Stats from the past mean crap. He could be the crappiest QB and still come and throw for 400 yards. It doesnt matter about his past stats or Cassel's it how the play against each other.
Yeah, last year Cincy had the 4th overall defense, 6th against the pass, and 7th against the rush. Cincy's D last year is much better than KC's D this year. Sanchez is much improved with better weapons. KC is one and DONE.
The EXACT same thing could be said of our sched. HOU, MIN, and CIN were supposed to be good too. I don't want to hear any more schedule bullshit from your little tribesmen buddies. The NYJ made it to the AFCCG last year with most of this roster, you need not question if they belong in the playoffs.
It matters in film study, see if a QB had success against a certain style/scheme of defense then the film from those successful statistical games will be used in the present. For instance, the Chiefs played the Browns this year, a D run similar to ours. Cassel threw for 176 yards, 2 picks and had a rating of 46.1 I think those stats and the fact that was a Ryan defense bodes well for us.
