We were both last year, this year 4th in yards. You are 9th at 19.7, we are tied at 10th with 19.8. When you haven't beaten one playoff team though those will be skewed. Your schedule was MUCH, much easier than ours. I already went though that SOS/SOV thing though.
Sorry, I misread that as 'defense'. Offense is doing fine. Did you see Bucky Brooks just called our passing game 'lethal.' I think he's exaggerating, but we're definately doing some damage. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000...xtended-run-in-postseason?module=HP_spotlight
Saying the Chiefs run game is a "fraud" is a little strong. Very good o-line. Jamal Charles is the shit. However, we all know how "good" TJ looks this time of the year. So the two-headed monster is really one and a half. Similarly, saying the Chiefs are going to "shred" the Jets secondary is ridiculous. Aside from Moeki, they don't have any sort of secondary option whatsoever. Has Bowe gone up against any sort of meaningful corner? I know Bailey was hurt the first game against the Broncos and Bowe went off for 186, but I'm not sure if he was out the second game as well. Despite what ESPN wants you to believe, Revis has been playing lights out since the bye week.
Sorry, misread your last post. I won't get into SOS because it gets into pointless hypotheticals. I can't argure with you that the Jets have had the tougher schedule this year though. We haven't played the Pats or the Steelers.
KC O-line is great at run blocking, pass protection could be better. Champ Bailey shut out Bowe for the rematch. WR is definately the weak point for KC right now, we do not have a legit #2 man.
KC is a great team. As others have mentioned, remind me a bit of the Jets last year just with a better QB and not quite as good of a defence. As they said in the NFL network coverage, I think that they're a tough out, but I'll take the Jets' experience in round 1.
For someone who wants to qualify statistics and eliminate "statistically insignificant" games you'd think you would at least agree that those opponents defenses weren't exactly the cream of the crop. You don't think his stats are a bit skewed because of who he was facing? You can't just eliminate statistics that don't make your team look good and blindly accept the ones that do. At least show some consistency if you want to be taken seriously.
So we can only take those stats so seriously. Yeah he has had a nice run of good games, sweet for him and you. It doesn't have much bearing on how he will do against a much better defense in the playoffs.
All I'm saying is this team has improved a ton just from the start of this season. If you're saying the Chiefs are untested, then yes, to a degree they are untested. That's why I'm excited for the playoffs, so they finally get a chance to show what they're made of.
All I'm saying is that those QB stats you posted were against garbage defenses. Nothing less, nothing more.
I've got to chime in on this one: First I count only two teams with winning records that the Jets have beaten: The first was a New England team WAY back in week two before Brady got hot..The second was a Pittsburg team minus Troy..Pitt is 5-7 without him so that win is not impressive.. Then we get into how Sanchez has playoff experience...Your defence last year is nothing what it is this year and Sanchez did absolutely nothing last year in the post season except sit under center and hand the ball off to Jones with the occasional flare pass in the flats. If your team last year with no post season experience can get to the AFC championship then what makes you think the Chiefs cant?
Did you watch the playoffs last year? Sanchez was far more productive then Jones who did jack shit in the playoffs. Greene was the one who did all the damage for our run game.
You made some decent points in the first paragraph, but flew off the rails in the second. You obviously didn't watch the playoffs last year, or weren't paying attention. Mark Sanchez played amazing in the playoffs, and while they did run more than throw, his clutch throws were what won them games. And it was S.Greene that was dominating in the playoffs, not T.Jones.
Did you even watch the 09 playoffs? Sanchez played his best football then...... And T Jones fizzled out down the stretch, Greene was carrying the rock. As for our defense, it's not as good as last year's, but your D isn't scaring anyone either, pal. And yeah, the NYJ have only beaten mediocre teams; ditto for your KC Chiefs, who will be the next mediocre team that we beat.
Going by the stats, sure. But the intangibles don't show up in the stats. Cassel has a poise and confidence he wasn't playing with before. His reads are better, and he's lost his tunnel vision. His footwork is much better. His instincts are better and he's started scrambling and avoiding tackles. It's not that the competition gets worse and worse, watching him play he's definately been improving.
I still don't see what Cassell not playing has to do with the KC defense shitting the bed and allowing 31 points?
Actually I remember Sanchez rolling out and hitting Keller for a TD in the Bengals playoff game.....I also remember Sanchez hitting Edwards with a long bomb to open the scoring against Indy....it wasn't all handoffs to the HBs. You should probably watch the games before making asinine comments.
Obviously you are a casual fan, which is nice for your significant other. So I won't bother you with facts and other boring shit like that. 1 fun fact you can carry around is that Sanchez broke 2 rookie playoff records, at the QB position obviously. Thanks for chiming in, I hope you get to actually watch the playoffs this year.
