Anybody know why John Conner hasn't played a single offensive snap since he got hurt in October? I don't recall him being on the injury report since he was listed as probable after he hurt his neck in October.

You would think since T Rich is getting up there in age, that he would see some playing time?

    Any thoughts?

File this under the "it's not broken, but let's try and fix it anyway" threads.

File this under "poster that infers way too much" responses. I don't recall there was anything in my post even remotely suggesting taking snaps from T-Rich or needing to fix anything.

I think because Richardson has been playing well.

Connor plays special teams, I thought.

File this under OP needs to pay closer attention to the lineups. Conner has been on the field way more than a 2nd string FB normally would.

Connor is learning under one of the best players at their position, who happens to still be performing at a high level. This is nothing against Connor.

What's with all the venom? Reasonable question IMO.

I think without exception all of us thought Connor would be beating the crap out of opponents all year long after his initial debut(s). That hasn't happened. I really thought he was going to be huge as a lead blocker in the running game.

I sometimes really wonder about how our players get used in this offense. It doesn't strike me as in line with Ryan's mantra about putting players in a position to suceed.

Again, I don't think that it's anything against Connor. I know to most of us the FB position looks pretty simple, just go forward and hit someone, but I'm sure there are a lot of nuances to playing the position and TRich has a "couple" of years on JC in this regard.

Like I said, Connor is getting the benefit of sitting back, watching and learning from one of the best in the biz, and coming in probably next season to be dominant for years to come.

So you think the FB is the problem? How about giving Greene more carries. Running game seems fine when he is in there. It's not Richardson. Did you even notice how many yards Greene was picking up?

I am just pointing out that some threads are just random thoughts that pop in someone's head with little direction.

FYI > Greene 5.8ypc and a cloud of dust......

How is it a random question? The guy played well early in the season and was on a trend of getting more snaps. Then all of a sudden three games without a single offensive snap? Seems like a valid question to me. why the hate?

I think the team is grooming Conner behind T-Rich. Plus, it'd be a disservice to Tony if they benched him, the guy is a potential hall of famer and garners massive respect around the league. They'll probably let him ride out his career as a starter while he's still got the goods to help in the running game. Had 2 clutch first downs yesterday too.

Oddly its the veterans on this board who have some of the worst attitudes. I don't see anything wrong with the thread.

    Exactly.

Richardson is not the problem. Connor will get his work in....next year.
