With Brunell being a lefty and with Woody out does that mean Hunter will cover Brunell's blindside against Julius Peppers -.-"!? Wouldn't it maybe be better to have D'brick go to that side and have Hunter on the left? That is of course if Sanchez isn't ready to go...
You can't move Brick over to that side. I would imagine Callahan will come up with a blocking scheme similar to the one he had against pittsburgh
Nope... the guy is Diego Abatantuono, very famous italian actor in the 80ies... to bad his movies are impossible to translate but you guys would love them. BTW Violenza means violence so it's very appropriate for Jets Football. In one of the most famous movies (from where this pictures come from) he is the boss of the curva sud for AC Milan (kind of like a fireman ed)...
Probably they will bring in Rob Turner as an eligible receiver and use him for an extra pass blocker.
I don't know if you guys have noticed, for the past 2 years there have been a few plays where D'Brick was lined up @ RT but I don't recall us ever passing w/him there. Not sayin that he will be but wouldn't be surprised if a few plays he's over there...especially on running plays. IMO, use it as a Decoy, whenever we line him up @ RT run to the right... then later in the game go, play action pass.
It's a completely different position with different foot work required. It's one thing to run block from the opposite side and something entirely different to pass block.
I understand that, but it's an adjustment that can be made. Tackles have to flip flop sometimes due to injury or whatever. I think I'd take a D'Brick out of his element over Hunter blocking the QB's blind side. I played o-line, and hated moving from right to left, but had to do it a couple of times. It takes some getting used to, but it's not impossible.
