seriously. revis deserves a game ball, in on just about every play. he always finds the football, made some huge tackles as well.

i may be saying this because im a jets fan, but best corner in the league no question.

we will see you again in the play off, and hopefully by then you will

First two posts by the OP mention injured payers that would have made it a different day, while not acknowledging we have injuries too. Also some play that he tries to replay the game with not happening (Smith Return). Totally lame congratulatory post.

He's always right there where he needs to be. Always. Takes a perfect route and throw to complete a pass on the guy and he even gets some of those.

Agreed....there are certain aspects of this year that are even more impressive. The fact that teams will stay away from him for quarters at a time and then foolishly throw his way and he makes a great play...he was excellent yesterday.

he did whiff that tackle on 3rd and 24 that would have made it 4th and about 4...just sayin.

Guys...chill. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but SC96 has been coming here for years and respecting the Jets as a down to earth fan of an opposing team. We do the same dissecting what if this happened shit after a loss, so whats the difference.

At least he is making legitimate arguments for discussion. Unlike a group of San Diego fans who were here during the PO's last year telling us the receivers were going to "Out tall" us in the game.

one of many players that blew the tackle... still probably one of the better tackling corners in the league

He made a non-congratulatory, congratulatory post. Regardless of his posting history, this one sucked.

Either say we were the better team and tip your hat, or don't waste everyone's time with a thread that basically says "you weren't the better team, but you won because of <excuse A>, <excuse B>, and <excuse C>."

I'm sick of hearing each time we win a game that it was (a) luck, (b) a poor team we played, or (c) now because a team has injuries, etc.

At what point in the last two seasons have we been given any quality credit for a win???

You guys sure are touchy....why don't you post exact rules for us opposing fans. I'll just cut and paste from that from now on...

i think these are the rules, typically, in order of importance:

I was impressed, we rushed for twice their average allowed.

More than any opponent has this season, and that was without Woody.

Like I figured they could not cover all our weapons and Braylon came up huge.

Holmes is by far the better playmaker but I think Sanchez and Braylon have better chemistry at this point.

Yeah, SC96's claim that Revis interfered had me scratching my head. It was such a perfect play by Revis that I thought SC96 surely must have been mentioning another play.

Read the post immediately before you said this, and you'll understand why.

Contact before the ball arrives is only textbook coverage if your guy is the one on D

please don't support the troll steelers fan. he's trying to be nice and respectful but in the end he's throwing cheap shots at the jets.

please don't complain about about yards. yards gained for the most part is completely mis leading in the NFL. unless you're out gaining an opponent by 200+ yds I find it meaningless.

The Steelers gained over 85 yards on that last drive. Why? Because they were trailing and had to throw a lot. Had the roles been reversed the Steelers probably win with the Jets out gaining the Steelers.

I love how the refs were pretty much going "eh...close enough" whenever the Steelers would come up just short of the first down.

yeah I see some back handedness in the "congrats" here........injuries are part of the games (yeah we don't have Leonhard and Jenkins on D either) as are KO returns, i love the notion that "had we not returned the KO" things would have been different, that's such a BS excuse, it happened, deal with it. you can play that game forever in football, that's the Mike francessa school of dissecting games........I forget which DB it was for the Jets that jumped up and got totally juked by Ben's pump fake on a key third down blitz when the Steelers evetually scored a TD.....I can sit here and say, well if such and such would've sacked Ben on that play instead of jumping then the Steelers wouldn't have scored a TD on that drive...a ridiculous argument indeed isn't it? football games at the end of the day are all about execution.

I see a lot of "couldn't have happened without the injuries" in the air.

don't write off who we were missing.

you were out coached, and while i appreciate the back handed compliments, you will be out coached again in the division round...if you're unfortunate enough to play us.

I'd pray for playing the Pats if I were a Steelers fan right now.
