2010 NJY = Pretender frauds rex ryan was "losing" the defense mark sanchez was a bad weather qb fire schotty 0-5 mcdaniels should be hired as OC immediately jets fans are the most reactionary people i have ever encountered, so lets just calm down for one second before we start the superbowl talk again. FTR, i am the biggest "non-darksider" you will ever find, but the swing of emotions on this board after a win or loss always pisses me off. anyways, great fucking game, lets just be realistic in the scheme of things or we as jets fans will suffer many more emotional breakdowns.
Have yet to see one superbowl post but I get your point. Seems that the only people who bother to post after a win are intelligent enough to know that there is plenty of work to do before superbowl talk can start.
yea one week of schotty calling a good game doesn't change the fact he might (and probably) will be calling terrible plays next week. see if he continues calling a good game, but since he started calling the plays he hasn't shown that.
All things considered, the Jets still only lost two games in a row. Not five. Two. The sky was never falling. There were things to be concerned about, and there are still things to be concerned about now, but really it was a rough stretch of two games. We were still in great playoff position.
It's a matter that too many people expected this team to have 14 wins. Be happy we have 10 with a chance for 12. I'll gladly take 12 wins. The Jets have issues, and the worst of which are the pass rush and the offensive inconsistencies. Luckily the latter can hopefully be fixed.
the problem is people are way too emotional and alot of guys want to be right whether its good or bad, and they like to come and tell everyone they were right when they are right. great game. lets get ready for next week!
In the immortal words of the Big Tuna... It's all about getting into the tournament! The Jets will be in the tournament.
Even though I am extremely happy we got a win today and in Pittsburgh. The offense only scored one TD, and the defense looked like shit, now they pulled it together and forced the Steelers to punt at crucial times, but the fact still remains, they fucking allowed too many 3rd and longs to be converted and damn near lost us the game at the end, the offense needed three yards to end the game, they blew it on a questionable play call/ decision by Sanchez. I say that cause on that 3rd and 3 play Holmes was decently open and Mark stared down Keller which is why all the Steelers players were in the area, then we had them pinned back and allowed them to bring it 90+ yards again. So I'm still worried about this team, but I'm a bit more confident that after this win, the team as a whole hopefully is now very confident, if we beat the Bears, then I'll be a lot more confident going into the playoffs. So just in reply to those criticizing the posters who were shitting their pants the past two weeks, we got the W, but the problems are still there, lets hope this became a confidence booster for the team and they continue to execute and Schotty keeps it up with the better play calling. I still want him gone after the season though. EDIT: On the other hand, I forgot to mention that the Oline was beastly today, I was thrilled about it, lets hope that keeps up and the offense should slowly find a rhythm and hope Schotty doesn't kill it.
I don't think that having a problem with the 3rd down D or inability to ever get pressure without blitzing is reactionary, it's been the case all season. Did you watch the Detroit, Denver, Cleveland and Miami games....oh yeah and the NE game? Were any of those good 60min football games in all 3 phases? There have been issues all season....it is not reactionary, it is legit concern if you watch and understand what you are watching.
