As soon as Brad ran the kickoff, I said to my father "we are 9-0 this season when we score a TD." I personally thought it was too early to tell, but my gut told me we weren't losing.
Did the same exact thing. I was screaming "we are undefeated when we score a touchdown!" while flipping out as he jogged in the last few yards.
I wasn't going to say it out loud and Jinx it, but I thought it too. As the week went on and people started to really doubt us, I had a good feeling. Once we got that TD, I felt like this was a win......but that ending...this teams knows how to make these games too close.
I don't think any of that shit matters, but I can be wrong. Perhaps it gets the team in a winning mindset that translates to confidence on the field. Perhaps its mindless statistics that commentators love to spit out to fill the void.
It isn't like it is a big surprise that when the Jets are totally inept that they lose. I do find it somewhat surprising that any time they are better than completely fucking pathetic that they find a way to win.
Today they were much better than "better than pathetic" they executed well on most parts. Defense could have been better but Rapeburger is better than average QB. Run defense sucked.

Yeah you're right. Its always one extreme or the other. Its an odd phenomenon, I hope they have hit their stride and continue it until the Lombardi trophy is home.
Unfortunately he has another streak going of not throwing a TD in three games.Oh well though we still got the W and in the end of the day thats all that really matters!
