It's great you feel so strongly about the Jets and there chances. That what makes Jets fans some of the best in all of pro football. Yet, when you chose to call a fan of over 40 years a disgrace, you nay need to look in the mirror. While may of us won't be around in 40 more years, I would be interested in hearing just what tune you would be singing if after that time you watched a team you love faulter over and over. If anthing you should respect us even more, because unlike some bandwagoners we never left after having sufffered the pain of losing for such a long time. Yet, we have never given up hope or our love of the Green and White. An believe me many of us have seen the likes of many bandwangoners come and go over the years. You see we the 40 year fans are the rock the foundation that this fans base is built on. We are the ones who have brought our son and daughters and grandsons and granddaughters into the fold in spite of all the hardship and pain suffered over the years. So you might want to reconsider calling any of us a disgrace because without us there would be no next generation of Jets fans and the fans base we have now would not be the envy of most other NFL teams. An remember if you are not one of those fair weather fans then one day you will be us, and the task of bring along the next generation will fall on you. The question is would you still want to do that if you have to experience the same heart break we have suffered over the last 40 years. We who have suffered more them most are still here,and still have faith but it has been tempered by time...... :jets:
TLR I don't care if you've been a fan for 40 years or 40 minutes when you develop a defeatist attitude you've lost my respect. You can dismiss me or say whatever you want regarding that. That's the way it is.
I just love how it never changes with some people, and most of the time they don't realize the Jets aren't some specially cursed franchise in the NFL. They've been fucking mediocre as hell for a long time.
Very true. I am starting to believe that some fans enjoy mediocrity so they can complain about their team. I believe the rest of their life is probably pretty mediocre as well.
Of course its coming down to Buffalo. There is no way IN HELL this team is beating either Pittsburg or Chicago. Fltflo, I'm 36. My father took me to my first Jets game when I was 10. I've been buying season tix for years. I drive 360 miles round trip to every home game and I attend every one. I may be short by 14 years or so but I have seen the worst of this franchise as well. If you bleed green, you bleed green. If you don't, why bother being miserable?
Have your opinion but don't expect us not to burn you for it. There's no reason this team can't win. Haven't you also seen this team over come adversity in the past 42 years?
I agree with and can relate with some of the posts from the older guys and is convinced that The JETS were created to test the faithful....... but at the moment, I think the J-E-T-S pull up the upset this Sunday. My head says no way, but my gut............ maybe too much :beer: ricky williams
Why all personal attacks? All we're saying is that it's starting to feel like Deja -Vu all over again. Obviously we all want The Jets to win Sunday and every game after that. There's no denying that the arrow has been pointing downwards over the last few weeks. Anyone can see that a lot has to be straightened out for the Jets to advance deep into the playoffs. I will not attack anyone here. We are all passionate fans and emotions can range very easily from elation to despair.
If this is truly SOJ we will miss the playoffs. If its not SOJ we make the playoffs. But yea ive only been a fan since 2005 and have already seen a massive collapse. I cant imagine how some of you guys have lived through multiple collapses.
God damn I love listening to the sissy faction of the Jets fanbase. These fuckers are never ever fucking happy. Every loss begets a disaster. I can watch the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills continuously for 50 years and listen to less whiny cunts then listening to 1 tenth of 1 percent of the cunt quotient of the Jets fanbase.
