Whats funny is it should of looked a lot worse. Numerous throws should of been picked off too but the Fins DB's cant catch the ball. I really had high hopes for Sanchez turning the corner this year but its just hasnt happened. If we had a top 10 QB, this team would be something special.
It also doesnt help that we saw Sanchez's confidence take a dive initially in the game when he was also almost intercepted twice.
there was many bad passes that could have been picked off and we got lucky. even when he's not being pressured cant seem to find anyone open *shrugs* like we're fighting a hopeless battle with this Offense
I had a horrible feeling about this game alllllll week. Watching the jets come out during player introductions there was no excitement, no fire, no enthusiasm. That's when I knew we'd lose.
I see that this ultimately falls on Rex but the OC needs to take the pressure and blame on this. He does not put his players into positions to succeed. The defense does special teams does but what about the offense. This does not fall squarely on the Qb the oc needs to put him into position to succeed and Schotty does not
Yes, it was a disappointing game. Need to forget about and get ready for the next game. Hopefully the team will play much better.
After last week i buried all my Jets crap to the back of the closet. After today i feel like throwing it all out. God damn it.
Comments from this past week... "We can't wait to get back on the field and erase that miserable effort from New England on Monday Noght" "That's not Jets football. If we're going to make the playoffs, we'll have to start fixing this" "We can put more pressure on the quarterback than this" "We need 2 wins to make the playoffs" Are we going to hear the same comments this week coming up?
The Sanchez babysitters are getting really transparent and pathetic at this point. All you want to bring up is the 2 or 3 good throws out of 50 that the guy made. I don't know if you're a baseball fan but when you have an extremely wild pitcher on the mound the defense behind him is inevitably worse because everyone is just expecting him to walk the park subconsciously. Not that I'm excusing the drops but the blame needs to be spread all around, it's not simply a case of WRs dropping balls, it's WRs having trouble handling balls from a QB that is almost never on the mark. Even on screen passes its often some juggling nonsense affair and almost every completion the receiver has to leave his feet.
The offense was soo bad today. where's dustin keller, where's Cotchery, Where's Edwards? How come the screen doesn't work? Where's the runnning game? Are there any holes? Where is the trap, where is the pulling guards? Is Brad Smith being used effectively? Are we getting too locked in on Holmes? Is Schotty stupid or ignorant? On 3rd down, why do we throw a quick out short of the first down?
A highlight for me was every time the fins punted it our returner had to scramble back to get it surprised the punter had yet again kicked it so far
Why are you surprised, we have sucked for since week 5, this team hasn`t given me anything to really feel good about for a few weeks, those overtime wins, never excited me, just made me feel that we are not as good as we thougth we were.
we keep on talking about the same shit every week but nothing changes with this team. What do they do all week, because they are sure don't have a game plan for the up coming week.
I don't fault them for lack of effort - I think the effort was there. But the gameplan and execution was not.
I don't even know where to begin, but this thread seems to be the perfect starting place. What a GD disgrace! To let the Dolphins come into our home and beg us to win the game only to play that lousy! They should be embarrassed
I have to agree with the OP, at least on offense. The defense had a great day, even working with a short field with those INTs they still held them to 10 points. When a team only completes five passes against you, you should win.
