Chris Long would be an absolute stud in the 3-4. In a Rex Ryan scheme, he'd make James Harrison an afterthought. Of course, if we had somehow made it out of that draft with a good 3-4 linebacker, then I bet the Jets go 10-6 in 2008. And instead of watching Rex Ryan and Mark Sanchez lead this team into the future in 2010, we'd probably be watching Eric Mangini and Brett Favre suck their own dicks while the franchise collapses.
No OLB could have made up for the horrible performances from Mangini/Schottenheimer/Favre in the final stretch of the season.
I am probably wrong. I just remembered it was a Jet I wasn't too fond of at the time that recovered a fumble early in the season. It was probably Jason Taylor that I'm thinking of.
