There's this little place out on Rt. 3...Maybe you've heard of it..... http://www.newmeadowlandsstadium.com/
Ummm, On behalf of your co stadium owners, yeah...... A simple, we respectfully decline to help you eliminate the home field advantage our co-stadium owners have in a game with playoff implications on the line..... Would have been the classy move. Take off your blue and red (purple) glasses.
But the point is that they had no consideration for the Jets. The Giants are supposed to be all about "class" and this shows a lack of consideration of the stadium partner. Poor PR move!
It should have taken them 5 seconds to realize the implications of saying yes to this. They say no, NOBODY is questioning it. This was a dick move, if it was the other way around all we would hear about is the low class Jets. But, the Giants like to pride themselves on their "class". Like their covering up constantly for LT, his drugs, his sending prostitutes to opposing teams the night before, etc. Or signing Jason Peters when nobody else in the NFL would sign the convicted rapist. But at the end of the day, the Giants are worse than low class. They are little weasels. They like to act all high and mighty, but behind the scenes they are little scum bags.
And make it obvious as hell, like letting Folk try and kick 50+ yard field goals in a howling wind, drop passes everywhere, Weatherford kick 13 yd punts, have Shotty call lot's of WC plays, etc. Oh wait...
Considering the point of the artcile, it's probably not a huge leap of faith to assume the writer meant a team opposing the Jets.
Sorry, I don't agree. Good fucking God are we now running scared off a team getting prepared for local conditions. If after having us all humiliated on national television there isn't enough fire in the Jets belly's to go out and nail this Dolphin team we better start thinking about the off season.
I don't disagree with you, but that does not change the fact that it was a real dickhead move by the g-spots
Funny stuff on Twitter- "NJ_StevePoliti Steve Politi Weird. I just saw workers installing a bust of Don Shula outside the Giants training facility ..." Sports columnist for The Star-Ledger, tweeting all things Jersey. http://www.nj.com/sports/ledger/politi/
There seems to be some confusion about exactly where it is that the fish will be practicing. I read the posts as meaning they will be practicing in the Giants' practice facility, not in the stadium.
But that's the whole point, isn't it? The opponent of the Jets is not the opponent of the Giants. The Giants owe the Jets nothing in that regard. Regarding the specifics of the quoted post, the post said it had never come up before. That means nothing. It would only come up in a town with two teams, since OPPONENTS of the same team cannot use the same facility the home team uses. So let's compare what all those other NFL teams that play in a town with two teams do. Oh wait! Then the precedent issue is further clouded by the imperatives that come into play here. Or seem to be. Miami wants to acclimate, we take it. Is playing in the Giants' facility the only way to do that? No. I just don't think it's that big a deal. It saves Miami's FO some logistical issues. That's about it.
You're correct on that. I'm only saying that we do happen to be business partners. This is close to Sears screwing Roebucks wife.
