bah humbug a wild card won't feel nearly as good as winning the division-with a three game lead on the wild card I'm not too worried about that, yet

Thats the one I don't get. Jax is winning their division right now, and Oak is in the wc hunt. How is oakland winning helpful to us?

 

Must be schedule related, common oppenents, AFC record.


Jax is 6-3 in the Conference.

We are 7-2, so that must be it.

 

Doesnt anyone realize the trouble this team is in?Ok so we get a wildcard spot maybe,like we are going to go anywhere in the playoffs.WE HAVE NO SAFETIES! Even whoever we get isnt going to catch on and be that consistant teams are going to pick apart this weekness and im not even gonna get into our offensive playcalling.So much talent and we dont know how to use it.If Belicheck ran this team you can be damn sure we would be scorin points a plenty!

Right, but with Jax winning their division right now, a win for them doesnt take up a WC spot, they just stay ahead in their division. while a win for Oak keeps them in the WC hunt as opposed to pushing them basically out of it.

But who am I to pretend I understand every tie-breaking scenario on the planet regarding the playoffs?

Either way, we need a win badly against Miami, it doesnt need to be a blow out, we just need to find another way to win the game. We have to get back on the horse and start to get our groove back. We need that more than anything. Once we do that, all will be restored in Jetland.

Gonna be a long week... Thank god we have the early game sunday!

Colts play Thursday so we have added interest in that now, and Oakland is a 1:00 game Sunday so we'll have a pretty good idea by game time.

1) NYJ (9-3) win vs MIA (6-6)
+ SD (6-6) loss/tie vs KC (8-4)
+ JAC (7-5) loss/tie vs OAK (6-6)



That would be putting them at 7-6 and the conference record at 6-4, Oakland is 4-4 in the conference so by us Winning we'd be 8-2 in conference and out of reach.

 

I would like to cite our playoff run last year as an example of anything can happen once you get into the playoffs.

 

To the guys giving up on the season. thats perfectly fine, do what you want. but for the love of god do not come back here next week, next month, after we dominate somebody in the playoffs or win the super bowl and say "i knew it all along!" "My faith never waivered!" "I was loyal to the end!" because you guys don't deserve it, sure the jets played about as badly as possible, but you know what? who gives a shit? there are 15 other regular season games to be played, and we are so far 9-3. pre-season every single fan would have signed up for 9-3 post NE round 2. So you know what, go fuck yourselves, have faith in 'your' team, if you should even have the right to call yourselves that.

SOJ is dead, Rex and Sanchez are proving that every freaking week, and yet we just can't seem to get rid of the god damn SOJF. If you don't want to have any faith in the team you call your own, thats fine, but then why the hell do you root for a team you can't stand?

Being a darksider is fine, being a sunshiner is fine, but being a whiny bitch SOJF just because the team lost a game is unacceptable. It wouldnt have mattered if we somehow crawled back into the game in the second half and lost 44-45. the SOJF would be out this week claiming our team will never ever ever find success. It doesnt matter to them. If the team doesn't go 19-0 then anything they do wrong is SOJ!

Grow a pair, stand up and root for your team, or gtfo. We don't want the SOJF around anymore. Go get off the bandwagon, you obviously don't care one way or the other, you just want shit to bitch about. If you care about the team, you will put this bullshit SOJ crap behind you and move on. This is a new era, and we are going places. Will we win it all this year? No idea, and its very hard to confidently say you bet your ass, after Monday. But you know what? This is the best 2 year stretch of football the NYJ have seen in a long mother fucking time. So enjoy it, and I am willing to put money on us being very competitive next year as well, and the year after that and after that.

Rex and Sanchez have this team going in the right direction, if you can't recognize we aren't that team any more then just get off the bus, go home and start rooting for the pats since their organization is "so classy and perfect"

Fuck the SOJF. Bring about the RexJets. We are here to stay, either change your ways, or get lost because the SOJF are no longer welcome.
