http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/12/07/AR2010120707000.html Albert Haynesworth came to Washington with a promise. "You're not going to remember Albert Haynesworth as a bust," he said on Feb. 27, 2009, the day the Washington Redskins made him the highest-paid professional football player at that time. "You're going to remember me as a great player." Haynesworth certainly will be remembered in Washington for years to come, but mostly for the turmoil that seemed to surround him at all times, and not for his performance on the field. The Redskins suspended the disgruntled defensive lineman Tuesday without pay for the remainder of the regular season, citing conduct detrimental to the team. That move likely brings to a close the calamitous Haynesworth chapter in the Redskins annals. Unable to co-exist with Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan, Haynesworth was informed of the decision in a meeting Tuesday morning with General Manager Bruce Allen at Redskins Park. "Let's be honest," Shanahan said in a telephone interview Tuesday evening. "This is an easy decision. This isn't even hard. When I get rid of a guy, I do it because it's in the best interest of the team, and I consider everybody."
i was not at all surprised he was let go. he is a piece of trash. i was surprised he was only there such a short amount of time. it just seems like i have been reading about him being a fat useless piece of crap for at least 3 or 4 years.
Good for Haynesworth. Fuck Shanahan. He wanted to come in and throw his weight around, but it looks like he is already losing the respect of the team. This is a new era, and today's player does not see his coach as a God, but a man. If that man want's respect then he better treat his players like men. He didn't and Shanahan has been dissed by Haynesworth ever since. I'll bet he'll never look Haynesworth in the eye if they happen to be walking in the same hallway. Shanahan is a bitch ass who made himself look stupid.
I don't understand why you switch to the 3-4 trying to fit in 4-3 personnel. Lol trying to use Haynesworth like a space eater, benching McNabb with the game on the line. A 20% McNabb is better than an unprepared Grossman.
