Last night was one of the hardest in my 24 years of watching this franchise from Gastineau flattening Kosar , Kotite years , Denver fumbles, Vinnys achilles and Obrien missed kick .

But we still have this season in our hands , yes we may end up the 5th seed but that brings fresh challenges and opportunities that we have to take on face on.Admit our weaknesses, repair them where possible and play with commitment and passion. As fans we have to stay with the team , its OUR team guys not Skip Fucking Bayliss or Francessca or Cimini. This is our Jets , we cry we cheer we get fucking slaughetered win or lose!

We all hurt last night and today during several meetings all I could keep muttering was for fuck sake.....didn't go down well! However we have the players and the last thing this franchise is to start bailing on them and folllowing the populist SOJ bandwagon.

Roll on Sunday and lets open up on those turquoise faggots!

I don't think anyone's bailing. However; last night was a pretty serious reality check that should definitely temper expectations for the rest of the season. It's pretty clear that the Pats are still the class of the division, conference and league and the Jets still have a lot of work to do to close the gap. The Jets are not the prohibitive Super Bowl favorites that Rex would have us believe. Best we can hope for is that the loss provides a spark and a sense of urgency to fix the problems that have plagued us all year - inconsistency from the Offense, porous secondary, no pass rush.

For some reason its not hurting, I was 50/50 on us losing so its not a huge suprise we lost. We are 9-3 and going to the playoffs. We have 4 weeks to prepare for the playoffs.

    I did not expect 9-3 after 12 games. I expected 8-4, or 7-5.

I'm glad I'm going to be in Mexico next Sunday, away from a computer. I assure you, no matter the outcome, this place will suck balls.

44-0, Jets: "Why can't we play like this against good teams?!"

44-35, Jets: "What's wrong with our defense?!"

10-9, Jets: "What's wrong with our offense?!"

12-3, Jets: "To All the Folk haters, STFU!"

7-3, Jets: "Folk needs to go NOW!"

Any Dolphins victory: Mass tgg.com Self-Permaban.

What made it easier was we knew the game was in the 1st Q. At 17-0 we pretty much had in our minds it was over so it's not like it just hit us like a brick wall like those last minute losses we had last season. I was hoping the final would be something like 31-17 and not such an embarrassment.

I'm still hurting because I'm thinking of the beating the Jets are taking right now as I refuse to read or watch any sports shows.

I'm with you on that...i gave up at halftime and was hoping to wake up to like 34-20 or something respectable. i could've taken that as I was 50/50 on the outcome going in. Yeah, I'm avoiding all sports media today as well. It's times like this where a short week is good.

I envy you guys who live outside of New England. I'm in the office today pretty much acting like a giant middle finger to anyone I come into contact with. Most people have left me alone out of pity. Needless to say, I will also be avoiding all sports media, especially local sports media!

Humbling loss indeed! Too many of us Jets fans were overconfident(nice to get those comeback wins earlier in the season but the Patriots are in a whole different level than the Lions, Texans, Bengals etc).

Rex Ryan & crew should be better prepared in big games like these. Rex should have a sit down with the players and tell them if you aren't gonna bring your 110% (i know it's an overplayed cliche but it applies here) then get the hell out of the team.

Of course no one will take us seriously anymore, so it us up to them to practice harder, watch more tape, and step on the field a more focused team.

Yep, we got served last night, but it's over.

Take it from someone who expected her college team to go undefeated this year, it's just too much to go in with such high expectations. Lesson learned.

Can the Jets really beat NE in the playoffs?

Assuming it comes to that ?

I honestly don't see a single distinct advantage we have over them right now. Their offense is too good and Belichick has figured out the Jets O.

I would like to think we can win every game, but these are the Patriots, and they have a great coach that knows how to scheme. Do I like the Pats? No. Do I like Belichik? No F'N way. I just know what they are capable of. Expecting to come in and kick the Pats ass on their home field was not a sane realization. If we were going to win that game, we would have had to bust our ass and play flawless football. We came nowher near that level. I will never bail! The SOJ in all of us probably had that feeling, but us real fans know how to supress that feeling and stay positive. Darksiders crawl back in your hole and realize that we may not win them all, but 1 loss does not constitute throwing up the white flag. We have some tough games ahead, Pittsburgh is never easy, and the Bears in Chicago will be a battle as well. It's th trap games that you need to drve the nail home in. Don't let a team like Miami or Buffalo get the best of us. We need those games more to pad the win column.
