Well then could have done it this year but decided that a average OLman was better then a RB with the #4 pick. It is decisions like that which is why we are what we are year after losing year.

What RB do you think was worthy of the #4 pick? This year was the foundation, next year will be the skill positions. Not to mention next years draft is shaping up to be an excellent draft for Rbs..

Put Martin behind a decent offensive line and he wil give you numbers and touchdowns.Hes lucky to be alive after the line he tried to run behind last year. His career is far from over. The man does a very intense off season traing and conditioning program.

What makes D'Brick average? I could have sworn we drafted the highest rated offensive linemen in the draft. You honestly think throwing a rookie running back behind our offensive line woulld have resulted in wins? You are way off if you think that way.

Got to call you on this one. Brick might actually suck so I have no idea why you would classify him as average since none of us really know one way or another.

Well to be fair the Jets have won in double digits three of the last eight years (1998, 2001, 2004) and have lost their starting quarterback in training camp or early in the season in three other seasons (1999, 2003, 2005.) The two recent seasons where neither of these results applied the Jets went 9-7 each time (2000, 2002.) That's not exactly the picture of a sorry losing franchise.

Drafting Reggie Bush would have been the loser move in my opinion. A great tailback + a poor offensive line = a poor tailback. That said, the Jets really need to make a tailback a major priority now if they want to progress quickly.

D'Brickashaw Ferguson has a very wide range of possible results at this point. He could be a trend-setting athletic tackle who is able to shut down the speed rushers that have come to dominate the NFL on passing downs or he could be a washout. He's most likely to wind up somewhere near the higher end of that range of possibilities and to help the Jets out for a bunch of seasons in a row.

Guess you did not listen to ESPN nor are you a NYJ history buff otherwise you would know that the last time we drafted OLman they were just average. When you have such a hi draft pick as #4 you go for a game changer not a OLman who are a dime a dozen. Just because Brick was rrated the #1 OLman in the darft does not mean he ever will reach the HOF.

Oh my God thank you Champ!!!!! I should have realized we cannot draft O-line early becuase the last time we did we got burned. We should have definately neglected offensive linemen becuase they are a dime a dozen and gone with a running back becuase everyone knows running backs that are drafted high in the draft are a sure thing.

And EVERYONE knows you cannot waste a #4 pick on an area of great need even if it means we have to shift players out of their normal positions causing miscues and mistakes, just so we can get that running back or wide receiver.

OK I am just not in love wiyh a OLMan as a #4 pick. I think the team would have benefited more with a game changer. Also, after hearing & seeing the ESPN video on Fergy vs speed rushers iif even 1/2 correct which is the reason I say just average in the over all scheme of things.Naturally, I hope he turns into superman

I have a hard time believing you're a season ticket holder, let alone a season ticketholder from the sixties. That would involve you receiving an invoice, making out and mailing a check........I'm imagining a check from you

Though he may have told you that, the guy in the white coat that lets you out for an hour every day is not a CPA, Champ.

Wow, now Champ is already determining the future of draft picks before they even play? Nice.

I do not understand "rebuilding" with a 33 year old HB coming off major knee surgery (are they nuts?).
