Have you guys noticed most of Sanchez's big plays are on the left side of the field?

Braylon's trouchdown in the AFC Championship game

    Braylon's Touchdown against the Dolphins

Holmes' catch and touchdowns the past three weeks

and a few others I keep on forgeting

Is this coincidence or is it his favorite side of the field?

Well doesn't the #1 corner usually line up at LCB?

I'll take the big plays no matter which side of the field they come from.

I know people that really broke down tape said that he had one side where he was really good last year and one side that he was awful. I forget which side they said but this thread indicates it was probably the left. I think it's just the side he is more natural throwing to. The good new is that the big pass to Braylon was on the right so he is capable of hitting big plays on both sides.

To me Holmes' catches the last two weeks (not this last one) were over the middle, although it is true that they were slants from the left. Edwards' catch right before the TD, on the other hand, was down the right sideline.

I actually think he is spreading the wealth both in terms of receivers and in terms of locations.

I'd give holmes the credit for his runs after the rec. on the first 2tds
but marks deep pass to the right set the last winning td up

I remember seeing some statistic that a majority of his touchdown throws came on the RIGHT side last year, and his QB rating was terrible while throwing to his left.

This made him work very hard during the offseason to improve on the left side. There was something wrong with his form which caused him to have less time to his left, and he corrected it.

It's obviously payed off big time.

That pass to Braylon to his right wasn't bad..

I thought this was pretty well established.

Holmes first TD last week and the deep throw to Edwards to move inside the 10 were both to the right. Thats off the top of my head from the last game only.

Yeah, he was pretty bad throwing to his left last year. I think it was Rich Gannon who broke it down and worked with Sanchez over the offseason in regards to that. It seems to have paid off.

And as far as throws to the left side of the field, the one to Patrick Turner on Sunday was one of his best throws of the season.

What about the 44 yard pass to Edwards that set up Holmes' game winning TD?

Trent Dilfer, who loves Sanchez, did a piece about throws to his left for ESPN a couple of weeks ago.

Last year I think most of his bad plays were to the left, so he's done a good job cleaning that up.

He sucked at throwing to his left last year. It was the reason why he stats were shit.

It just happens that this year most of the plays are on the left because Holmes lines up on the left.

Well that's not true. He threw touchdowns to his left to Braylon against Detroit, Miami and New England.

Two of those games, Holmes was suspended.

Holmes' TD was on the right side on Sunday.

I'd love a breakdown of his right and left stats this year. Just to see the progression.

Goddamn its exciting to watch this kid get better every week.

In the BGA thread for this week it's noted that he was almost perfect throwing to his right on Sunday.
