I rather have a quiet safety that sucks and can tackle than a big mouth diva that sucks and can't tackle.

 

Kerry Rhodes is overrated but the way we're getting beat by the TE and 3rd WR's you have to say him not being there has something to do with it. kerry is soft, he can't tackle, and he's a whiny bitch but I always thought he was solid in pass coverage. he didn't give up a lot of big plays leonhard and smith(who sucks) can't cover any TE. leonhard is short and smith just sucks.

having the corners we have should be a luxury. but so far it's not.

 

Did Run_N_gun10 actually get banned for this but NDMick has survived? Run-N_gun10 was baited after NDMick called him a "dumb motherfucker".

I wanted to PM NDMick, but either he turned off his ability to received PMs or his box is full. I was interesting in finding out if he at least received a warning. See, I got a warning last Sunday for writing "fuck you" in the game thread in what was not a serious post. That warning does not expire till April.

I don't have anything against NDMick and in the past would not have had a problem with what he did in this thread. My issue is with the moderator who gave me the warning (2nd one I've received from him, by the way). I'd like to see this stuff handled fairly.

Kerry was a ME FIRST type of guy. I got extremely pissed when he talked shit about JIM LEONHARD? and Bart Scott? Fucking prick.


But yeah he played better half ass than Brodney Pool has.

 

Still would'nt want Kerry but our safetys need some ungrading.

 

Safety is a HUGE concern. Jim Leonard looks like he's lost a step and Pool is NOT the answer. We're getting killed over the middle and don't think for a minute that Brady doesn't know it as he makes his living over the middle short to mid range.

Kerry Rhodes was not a Rex Ryan guy. That doesn't mean that he didn't have talent. I used to love it when Mangini would send him in on a blitz and can still remember his big strip sack against the Bills in '06. If you fans don't like him because of his shouting match with DT or that he clearly didn't get along with the coaching staff then fine. That doesn't mean that he lacked for talent or sucks. Tell that to Espn.com, Sports Illustrated, and the Associated Press who named them to their All Pro teams in '06 or sportswriter Peter King who works for Sports Illustrated and ranked Kerry Rhodes 29th of the top 500 players in the NFL in '07. Dude can play, and is at the very least better than Brodney Pool.

 

He is an upgrade because as much as the safety's not named Leonhard have disappointed this year none of them have issues tackling which is more than can be said for Rhodes.

I haven't watched him much and I don't know if we'd be better or not but Poll is not getting the job done along w/ the rest of the defense outside of Revis and Cromartie in pass coverage.


Isn't it strange how last year when revis was great we had all those 4th qtr meltdowns and this year when Revis was out or hurt our D was making stops in crunchtime and now that he is back to his 2009 form our D is choking again. It's very strange.
