It could be if we beat the Pats, NBC has Packers-Pats scheduled, so it could be determined based on the outcome Jets-New England. The Bears game the next week is possible if both teams are in it--the game could have meaning to both conferences and NBC will probably want to get out of Chargers-Bengals by that point.
I'm going too, you get tix yet? Again, take it fwiw, but this says no night flex for Jets-Bears (but possibility of flex to 3pm local): http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/10/nfl-opts-to-keep-bears-out-of-prime-time.html
I have friends out there who got the tickets, I hooked them up in 2006 when the Bears came here. In 2002 I went out there and we were going to go but the game was in Champagne. The NFL fucked me by putting the game the day after Christmas, I'm flying out early Sunday morning, gaining an hour and the plan is to meet them at the tailgate at the field. If the game gets flexed to 3 or 7:30 of course that changes it. Also--unrelated but when I see your username I always think it's asscheeks at first.
Cool. I'm a tribesman so no issue re: Christmas for me, get in the 25th and heading to the nearest Chinese restaurant. Meeting a buddy out there who lives in Indy and will drive up early morning of the game. I'd definitely prefer the 3pm game to give him more time to get in and so we can catch the early games at a bar beforehand (don't think we'll attempt a tailgate). Hopefully we'll be locking up the division that day. I was in a sloppy punk band in high school called the Amazing Spread Buttcheeks, hence the name. However it's a common enough error these days that I occasionally regret the handle choice 8 years later.
Haha, could be worse, you could have changed it to Broadway Brett. A 3 pm start would be great for me, I wanted to go out late Christmas night after everyone went to bed but there are no late flights. So I'm hoping no bad weather or delays to mess me up, but a 3 pm start could fix that. No night game is fine, my friends are pretty hardcore tailgaters, and I survived the Bengals finale last year, but I'd rather have a little sunshine.
Would it have killed you to read the entire thread? Show me how the Jets-Steelers game will possibly be flexed.
UNLESS THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT THE LAST 3 WEEKS BEING GOOD MATCHUPS ---someone said the last 3 weeks cannot be flexed but we were flexed for the Bengals last year.
