During the next three weeks the Jets play three teams that they should beat. That would be Cleveland away, Houston home, and Cincy home. If they can do this then losing to New England wouldn't be the end of the world. New England has to play Pittsburgh and Indy within that time and will likely incur one loss from those games (hopefully they lose both). Most posters agree New England and Pitt away are tough games and if we lost either one or both, then that is completely acceptable. With the way the Pats playing (minus this weeks collapse), I don't think winning less than 12 games is gonna cut it for the division. Lets beat who we're supposed to beat and we'll be fine.
omg omg omg, What should I do? How do I prepare? 2 losses halfway through the season and its already do or die? I dont think so. Of course I agree that we should beat teams we should, I just dont agree with your premise.
If we're 9-2 going into New England the last thought going through my head would be "well it's acceptable if we lose this one". Just sayin...
It's not do or die, but if you wanna be in a good position for the division its pretty much do or die. We play in a competitive division that is in a competitive conference. This is no NFC West slapdick team either.
You are completely right about having to handle biz from here on out. Save for the game against Chicago all our games are against AFC teams. If we end up splitting with New England wouldn't conference record be the second tie breaker?
They're all traps! Every game is a trap! Houston will have snipers placed around the top of the stadium and Cleveland has dug pits filled with spikes and tigers!
I believe it goes to divisional records first becuase we're both in the AFC East. I could be wrong though
I can see the division being won at 11-5, please remember shit happens, shit always happens, its just about who will get shit on this year
We "should beat the Browns" but based on what I saw yesterday from our team and theirs this could be a shitload of trouble. The Browns did us a favor yesterdayby wrecking the third tie break advantage the Pats held on us by beating the Ravens.. We would give that right back by losing to the Browns next week. I'm on my phone atm so I can't easily check on other common opponents, but this game is larger than it looks
Can we just focus on the Browns and worry about the Patriots game in a month, when we actually play them? Anybody who has watched at least a season of NFL football should know that no game is a gimme. Not even the 34-14 game vs. the Bills earlier. Not even last year's 38-0 Raider game. You still have to show up, make more plays than the other team and win the fucking game. So, pretty please, can we just go 7-2 first?
