First of all, great vid NYJATW. I also love that catch 624. Here is a brief 2009 highlights vid. As for the game, I'm as torn as you are man. I feel like we could either play great and surprise everyone or possibly also get blown out by 30 lol. It's a tough call.
Videos definitely getting me pumped up for this. Brady had this look on his face like "man why the fuck did I even throw that in his area?" lol. http://www.nfl.com/videos/detroit-lions/09000d5d81bc062f/QB-Stafford-to-WR-Johnson-13-yd-pass-TD Just embarrassing from last week. HOPE THAT PASSPORT IS PUNCHED MEGATRON YOU'RE GOING TO REVIS ISLAND!
You probably won't be interested in this one because it's about the team (mostly playoffs) and not an individual palyer...but this was by far my favorite NY Jets vid on Youtube for 2009 No matter what Sanchez's stats read...he is always clutch in big moments.
Absolutely interested. Hanging out here for a few days has me surprisingly interested in the Jets. This game is either going to be great, shocking, close, sad, depressing, or joyous. I'm sure the Jets have had much more invested games going to the playoffs and all but as a Lions fan, I'm not sure I've been more excited for a game anytime in the last decade.
Yep, that's the bad thing about being "the team" in the NFL right now....every team you play knows that it might be their toughest/biggest game of the season, so they give it their all. It's a good thing too though, Rex doesn't believe in the underdog bullshit.
Just 2 thoughts. After week 1s offensive crap the Jets bounced back with a big win over NE. And the Lions have not played an AFC team yet..Seems like a nothing thought, but it is a different brand of football in the AFC East
I'm confident that Sancehz & Co. will bounce back, Sanchez has always looked strong coming off bad games in his career. I think that AFC point you brought up is pretty significant, I didn't realize that. This is our 3rd NFC opponenet, and their 1st AFC....there are definitely different styles, and the AFC is much stronger this year. Stafford has never faced a defense like the Jets
I'm sure it's been said in this thread, but this game reminds of the Patriot game from week 2. The Jets should really be able to come out and dominate.
I should probably point out that your offense isn't scaring anyone, and your defense certainly isn't scaring Matthew Stafford. You got shut out in your own building by a set of third stringers on a team we put up 26 on in their own place. Just sayin...
Offenses are allowed to have off days...we had 9 uncharacteristic drops that game as well, that won't happen today. Our offense was 4th in scoring going into the game. Our defense doesn't care if Matt Stafford isn't scared of it....that won't stop him from having the worst day of his career. He hasn't faced a defense close to this in his life. (Talent+Scheme) (He was injured when you played Balt and Pitt last year)
I'm in no position to start talking shit all over the place. It's the Lions... But I think we're both equally excited to see tomorrows matchup.
I'm really looking forward to the game. I hope we see the Jets play good hard nosed Jets Football !!! I am bummed out because I don't think its gonna be carried in CT where I currently am staying recovering from surgery.
