Browns | Crennel says veteran QB out there to help if needed Sun, 18 Jun 2006 13:16:03 -0700 The Associated Press reports Cleveland Browns head coach Romeo Crennel said there is a veteran free agent on the market that could quickly help the team if needed. Crennel said if the unnamed player came to Cleveland on a Friday, he'd be ready to play that Sunday because he knows the system. Crennel wouldn't say the player's name but joked that he's older than him. Asked if he had already contacted free agent QB Vinny Testaverde (Jets), Crennel says he hadn't. Current No. 2 QB Ken Dorsey looked shaky in the team's weekend minicamp that concluded Sunday, June 18.
i believe you have mistaken me for that kaysar loving jetsrule128. i was talking about Vinny here, and this is big news...... it's like that old song except it would now go "Vinny's goin to the chapel and he's gonna get married, Vinny's goin to the chapel and he's gonna get married." lmfao, good times, good times, sometimes i even amuse myself...
Go have fun Vinny! Can't wait to hear the Dawg Pound singin "Vinny Testaverde... yeah" Go ahead, call me crazy, but I can't get enough of that song, lolol.
I highly doubt it but u never know. I though Vinny wants to retire though. Could it be Kerry Collins or has he found a team already?
nothing sadder than an athlete not being able to walk away.. Jeez Vinny, don't you have anything else you could do with your life?
In fairness, the last few years teams have come to HIM. He isnt really seeking out these opportunities but who wouldnt pass up the opportunity to keep playing the game you love. Also, the minimum base salary for a player of Vinny's time in the league is pretty damn good. Prob over a million dollars. But yeah, what an idiot! If I were him I would be laughing all the way to the bank!
Supposedly they caught it in Raritan Bay after President Hoover assigned the Coast Guard to "protect the Jersey Shore from sharks attacks". I think it was the event that inspired Jaws, but I have never gotten any confirmation on that.
But it also swam up the creek and ate a kid. Or two. I forget now exactly. As to Vinny, it's like a part-time job. You show up, you shuffle around some, lob a couple of passes, you get paid, you go home and do other stuff like read the paper and pet your dog. Like that.
wow, another stroke of genius for me, i came up with another song for Vinny's ali like return to the ring. here it goes. "for Vinny about to rock, we salute him, for Vinny about to rock, we salute him." wow, im on fire!!!!!
