http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=5366557 Might have been posted already but take note.... the guy grading the jets speaks with so much hatred... its as if he just finished coaching a team with a win less season. Just thought I might cheer some of you guys up.
I really don't understand how Matt Millen has a job. he couldn't even be a general manager for mcdonalds
This video is from before the season started. His concerns about Sanchez, LT and replacing Faneca, at the time, were probably justified. We couldn't be certain that LT would be effective, we didn't know if Sanchez would progress, and we definitely didn't know what to expect at LG. So far, LT looks born again, Sanchez looks better, and Slauson has held up. I'm sure he has acknowledged that by now.
Before the season started, those questions he threw out there were legit. This season, a lot of the question marks Jets had turned into big positives.
glad it was a preseason thing although, I could easily understand the genius who sunk the Detroit Lions franchise for more than a decade still raising these same points now
i dont see anything wrong with what he said... especially since he said it in July.. i've seen him on ESPN recently. he said he was dead wrong, and gave the jets as much props as you can.
I didn't watch the video, was he upset we didn't pick a WR in the first round? Also, we should congratulate him, Mike Williams and Roy Williams are finally starting to look like an NFL receivers! Good call Matt! Now if we could just get Charlie Rogers back into the league...
I don't think this thread is uberFail per say. I thoroughly enjoy reading or watching "Eat Crow" content. Especially that content that was rapid fired off after Week 1. There should be an "OFFICIAL Eat Crow Thread" where all this information can be consolidated for easy access & entertainment.
Matt Millen was basically saying the same things most of us were, there were concerns due to the unk circumstances that were created due to the changes that were made at key positions during the off season.
I wonder what he thinks now. I would say we still have questions but the points he made are no longer the major concerns.
