    They have no weakness?
Manning is a turnover machine (he's on pace for 25 picks and 14 fumbles)
There defense is getting lit up by backup QBs
There defense is 19th in the league in points allowed despite facing QBs like todd collins, john kitna, shaun hill, drew stanton, matt morre, jimmy clauson.
And special teams, they ahve no PR or KR game whatsoever, there kicker can't make a big FG, their punter shanks 1 out of every 2 punts, and there coverage team is horrible.

Now i'm not saying there a bad team cause they are not. the giants are a good team, but that is all. good. They still have to play 5 division games and i think philly and washington both sweep them. Mcnabb has a history of killing the giants and the eagles are just a better team if vick is playing

So it's okay for the Yankees and Pats to talk about it but not us?

Who gives a shit, we have a very legit shot so why not? Not much going on coming off a bye week and I personally love thinking about the Jets in the Super Bowl.

    No harm being done-

This is a Jets board, so looking at this from the point of view of the Jets is reasonable, but history suggests that it's very far from a sure thing that the Giants will be anywhere near a Super Bowl, despite their strong start. In all 7 years Coughlin has been coach the Giants have been 5-2, with the one exception of 2008, when they were 6-1. Thus, during Coughlin's time their cumulative record for the first 7 games of the season is 36-13. Their records for the last 9 games of the season are considerably less impressive: 1-8, 5-4, 3-6, 5-4, 6-3, and 3-6, for a cumulative record of 23-31. Other than the Super Bowl run in 2007, they're also 0-3 in the playoffs over that time.

    Both 6 - 2.

Could this really be the year? The Giants are ranked first in the BCS standings. The Jets are tied for the best record in the AFC. I see a classic Superbowl matchup in the making.

    Would there be riots??

Die hard football fans are more hardcore then baseball fans I'd say so this could cause the biggest riot the tr-state area has ever seen.

I'm not buying in to the Giants hype either, they have been good at smashing weak teams. They were playing the same way last year, 5-0, crushing the Raiders and Chiefs only to get embarrassed by the Saints. And the one really good team they played this year, the Colts, humiliated them.

At this point I'd be shocked if they didn't make the playoffs, but it's too early to say how they'll do when they get there.

The AFC is much tougher than the NFC, so even with the same record I wouldn't dream of saying that the Jets are even a lock to make the playoffs, let alone make the Super Bowl.

No we are not headed for a Subway superbowl, since the Giants are a hoax and won't make it.

Next year I want a Jets Giants superbowl, this year I want it to be Jets packers. Tired of all the Giants talk in NY since they won a superbowl. Now its our turn. Im still not sold on the Giants even though the NFC sucks. They were 5-0 last year and collapsed.

This shit always happens half-way through the year...But everytime idiots fail to realize we have not been to a Super Bowl since 1969. Can we calm down with stupid crap like this and at least win the damn AFC first.

This talk s stupid, but just to clarify a few things about the people that want to throw cold water on the Giants and compare past years, in particular last years 5-0 start.

Yes the 2009 Giants were 5-0, but there were signs very early on that something was not right, most notably on defense. Kenny Philips got hurt, Michael Johnson was clearly not an answer at S and C.C. Brown was god awful. The Saints saw this, exposed it and it became an issue all year long. The Giants 3rd S this year(Deon Grant) is better than last years starter.

They are buying into a better defensive formula. I think the #1 overall ranking speaksfor itself.

Past years...in 04 they started 5-2,slumped to 5-4 and then made the switch to a rookie QB on what was not a very good team I cannot look at that team and compare it to the current roster. In past years 06 and 08 they have always had some sort of outside issue, whether it be Barber announcing his retirement mid season or Burress blowing a hole in his leg. Those 2 years in particular are the only 2 they really hit a wall 2nd half.

I understand the Giant hate/resentment whatever, but they are clearly a better team then they were in 09 and more resemble the 08 team at this point then last years.

This kind of chatter is what I also see when people say "well the jets got 2 gifts from Denver and Detroit"...just silly talk

For what its worth the Giants are far from a Super Bowl team.

Yeah, except for the year they won the SuperBowl they've had trouble winning the SuperBowl.
