    I got the point so I'll add to it.

    I agree in the sense that the team will be much more focused than Mangini's SB hyped team.

    Once the talk began they lost their focus and the coaching got worse.

    Rex has prepared them for this. His personality takes a lot of pressure off of the players and it allows them to not have any distractions, because he soaks it all in. His physical size can act as an illustration of how he blocks out all the bullshit so the players don't have to deal with it.

    This team is always well prepared. That is a sign of good coaching. Playing in NY takes special kinds of players in all sports. The Jets have them.

    i would hate a ny/ny superbowl... the risks of loosing are worse than the gains of winning... if the jets lost to the giants in the superbowl than jets fans would never stop hearing about it.

    Are Giants contenders in the NFC , Yes.

    But not one person in this thread has mentioned the Falcons. They are flying under the radar and have to be considered one of if not the favorite in the NFC.

    GET THE FUCK OUT!

    Seriously though that is the most bullshit attitude I have ever heard. How is the risk of losing the superbowl ever considered not worth it? Fuck, I hate pussy Jets fans.

    Good Lord, the Giants have beaten no team of substance, they come off a game where they beat a 1 win team with a backup QB. They nearly lost last night too, the Cowboys were coming back.

    I hope we face them in the Super Bowl, then we'd officially rip the rights of NY right from their broken fingers.

    WTF. I got all the cautious cowards in my "Subway Superbowl" thread while all the badass Jets fans are in this thread.

    Hell yes we would demolish the Giants in the Superbowl (and bury Eli next to Hoffa in the parking lot.)

    i definitely agree Rex is getting this team mentally tough, especially for this media driven city.

    as far as the jets and giants, i think the giants are playing very good right now. statistically they're a monster team. you can say they've played some soft teams so far, but it is what it is.

    on offense:
    3rd in total yds
    4th in rushing yds
    9th in passing yds

    on defense:
    2nd in total yds
    2nd in passing yds
    3rd in rushing yds

    not to mention they've knocked out like 5 QBs in 7 games. :eek:hmy:

    the jets statistically:

    on offense:
    17th in total yds
    2nd in rushing yds
    27th in passing yds

    on defense:
    12th in total yds
    22nd in passing yds
    7th in rushing yds

    Would the Jets even win if they played at this point in the season? I need to see the Jets step their game up over the next few weeks. The only part of the Jets game that i think is better than the giants right now is special teams. It will be interesting to see how these teams play out the season.

    Giants next 4 games:
    @seattle
    dallas
    @philadelphia
    jacksonville

    i think the giants will win all 4 and go to 9-2.

    jets next 4 games:
    green bay
    @detroit
    @cleveland
    houston

    if the jets step up their defense i think they win all 4 and go to 9-1.

    the giants 3 toughest games left on their schedule:
    @philadelphia
    @green bay
    @washington

    i don't think it's a stretch to say the giants could go 14-2 this season if they can win @green bay.

    the jets 3 toughest games left on their schedule:
    @new england
    miami
    @pittsburgh

    hmmm... if the jets go 14-2 that would be very impressive. new england and pittsburgh are hard to beat in their house.

    You could've left all that out and just stuck with the bolded sentence.

    They have an easy schedule that's for sure, but I can't see them running the table.

    If Philly is at full strength their offense could tear them up. Especially with Vick at QB, he could single handedly nullify their pass rush and they have no one to cover Desean. So they have 2 games with them left, plus the Vikings and Packers.

    It's hard to gage the Giants because they have't really faced a good team. Whenever they faced a decent AFC team the Titans/Colts they lost, and the Colts ripped them a new one.

    So my answer is no. lol

    Agreed, that's what I love about Rex.

    From Day 1 with Hard Knocks, to him saying "the NFL is smart" on picking them for 5 primetime games....he knows his team will be in the media and he embraces it and makes them even more talked about.

    I love how he doesn't believe in the whole "underdog is a better place to be" bullshit.

    Wasn't Cutler moving the ball all over the place before the Giants took him out? That falls on their offensive line. With a decent offensive line and quarterback, any team should be able to move at will. Which the Jets have both.

    I remember last year everyone got on the Giants bandwagon and said they should be the favorites because they went 5-0 and zomg they were teh awesomes

    But anyone with half a brain could look at the teams they beat last year to go 5-0

    was, tb, kc, oak, dal. And what happened when they played real teams? they got SHIT ON.

    The NYG are already giving up more points than almost any team in the NFC and theyve only beaten cupcake garbage teams yet again.

    Anyone who thinks theyre going to the superbowl is simply delusional. Go ahead bump this in 3-4 months ill promise you Giants werent close to getting any rings

    I'd love to see Bart Scott rip the ball out of Brandon Jacobs' hands in the Super Bowl.
