The refs handed the Patriots, Ravens and Steelers wins today when if all three lost it would have helpted the Jets a lot. It is a sin that Kraft and Rooney is so tied into the NFL that the officials help them any way that they can. It takes the fun out of watching football when it is controled by a bunch of guys that become more clueless each week.
Reports are coming out that the head referee in the Dolfags vs Steelers game is from Pittsburgh.. Born and raised and still lives there.. how does the NFL let that happen? LMAO
You can't just rip out a major accusation like that and not back it up. IMO the Bills lost because Ray Lewis ripped the ball away in OT, the Pats won because Brown missed a very makeable kick and they were an utter mess for 3 quarters - as they have been the first 7 weeks of the season. The Dolphins...yeh ok they can be pissed off - looked to me like they recovered that one! Still a conspiracy of biased refs? c'mon man!!
Regardless of whether the refs missed calls or not, does anyone here actually believe the refs did it on purpose? That the refs are influenced by certain owners? That's just bitter thinking. The refs are trying to make the best call, they just get it wrong once in a while. Its not an easy job.
I didnt see the plays in question but I don't buy into the whole "refs handed team X a win" philosophy
I'm not sure what you're referring to in the SD-NE game - what I saw was the Chargers repeatedly shoot themselves in the foot and blow a game they could have easily won.
Anquan Boldin interfered with Reggie Corner at the end of the 1st half. Corner still was able to pick off the pass but could not get two feet down because Boldin pulled him out of bounds. The referees botched the play. A flag should have been thrown for offensive pass interference and the play should have been ruled an interception. The Ravens scored a touchdown moments later. Rule 8, Article 3, Item 6: Carried Out of Bounds states, "If a player, who is in possession of the ball, is held up and carried out of bounds by an opponent before both feet or any part of his body other than his hands touches the ground inbounds, it is a completed or intercepted pass." ------------ In overtime Shawn Nelson was held up by several Ravens. 99 times out of 100 a whistle would have been blown because the ball carrier's forward progress was stopped. Ray Lewis then stripped the ball and moments later the Ravens won.
I do not believe NFL referees blow calls on purpose. I just think the crew in Baltimore had a bad day today.
The refs definitely handed it to the steelers, the dolphags recovered that ball. I didn't see anything too questionable in the Patsies/Bolts game, just the chargers fucking themselves.
