What year do you guys think Clemens will be the Jets starting QB?

Personally I would want Clemens to start next year. Get some tutoring from Pennington and the coaches. Don't rush anything.

However, I won't be surprised if he will be starting mid-season.

I think Pennington starts for the next two years then Clemens will take over during the '08 - '09 season.

I voted for 2007-2008. But I'm not saying that he will be the opening day starter, but i think he may take over after a few games.

 

I did the same. I'm personally of the opinion that he will sit as the Jets backup for 2 or 3 more seaons behind and then either the Jets or he will decide to go in a different direction. He came onto this team at a time where we have two very competent veterans who are above him in the depth chart, so he's not just going to be handed the job.

 

I hope its the end of next year because it is always better to get a better end result. The dans always want to rush the new qbs on but turn on them when they cant perform. It is worth it to have a FULL year with NO snaps and then start to ease in with mabey 15% of snaps the next year before working into starter. It worked with Carson Palmer and Tom Brady

 

I wouldn't exactly say that Brady was eased into the starting job, but I get your point.

 

Honestly, I don't know. Anything is possible, ramsey good have a great season and hold onto the job. Chad could make some miracle comeback (highly unlikely). But if ramsey and chad bomb, Clemens in 07.
