I don't give a fuck what Randy Moss' statistics looked like when all was said and done. Each week, Antonio Cromartie has been asked to step up and fill an unexpected role, and each week he has risen to the occasion, with no performance more impressive than the one he delivered last night. His blanket coverage was incredibly suffocating even on completions. The one blemish was the touchdown reception, which couldn't have been defended any better. It might have been one of the best throws I've ever seen. Throwing in Moss' direction almost became a guaranteed incompletion.

    Thanks, Cro.

When it comes to straight line speed and ball skills, there are few in the game better than Cro. Thankfully, that's all Moss does.

As much as some of these guys deserve the appreciation threads I'm sick of seeing one for every other player after a decent game.

Imagine if we could get Revis healthy and playing as he should ... damn what a combo. I hope we sit Revis next week - give him some more rest and see how he feels after the bye.

Cro can lock down whoever we need him to for now.

Extremely insightful and valuable poster to TheGangGreen community. His grammar and punctuation are flawless, and leave no room for confusion or misinterpretation. Orgasmic vocabulary. Seriously, just stunning. Thank you, AJayJay, for being the glue that holds this message board together.

I'm still waiting for this team to be 100% complete. Revis playing like Revis with Holmes playing more then just 35 out of about 70 snaps.

This team could be scary 3-4 weeks from now. it's already pretty good, eh?

the thing you gotta love about this team is how we dominate the line of scrimmage every game. we run against everyone. we pass block pretty well. we stop the run. we just gotta get these 3rd down issues figured out.

I appreciate the appreciation thread. But like I said enough is enough. Seeing as we have one for Cromartie, one for Callahan, one for Drew Coleman, one for D'Brickashaw, one for the special teams, an Intermediate Appreciation thread for Slauson, an offensive line appreciation thread, one for LT, and one for Dwight Lowery I think it's time to put an end to all the damn appreciation threads and just make one big one for the whole damn team since it seems like we appreciate them all instead of having 9 seperate ones. Are they all necessary? And these are just ones that have been posted in since midnight last night.

The third down issue is because of Revis. Last year Revis was healthy. This year he isn't.

ABSOLUTELY! And you know what?! I'm writing a letter to Rex. Enough with this game ball bullshit. Who the hell is he to openly praise an individual after a game? He gives one to a different person every game. I think it's time to put an end to all these game balls and just make one giant football for the whole damn team!

Additionally, Cro played wonderfully. He gives me peace of mind when Revis' status is uncertain.

Yeah because every other player on the team and coaching staff needs a damn appreciation thread. Lets just go ahead and pre-make them for the entire team since that's what we are doing anyway. I can use smileys too.

I thought Cromartie was great on Marshall as well. Marshall was more integrated into his team's offense, he's more physical and dangerous in short yardage situations (not Cro's forté), and the Jets were on the road that game. The stats may not have reflected Cromartie's performance in either game, as I thought his coverage on Marshall was commendable. You're not gonna hold these elite receivers to absolutely nothing.

    Very well played

Im rewatching the Jets Vikings game as I type this, and i feel like Cromartie has been humbled playing for Rex. I remeber his first game against the Ravens he was talking trash and celebrating everytime he made any play. I personally havent notices him doing anything like this the last 4 games and is just playing football.

    Anyone else notice this?
