Just wanted to give him his props for getting these guys to play the way they did. We've have to have the BEST O-line in the league. PS-I'm hoping to start a Brian Schottenheimer appreciation thread...HEAR THAT SCHOTTY!!!!
I also think he has done a good job, the problem with success is that other teams will start to plunder your coaching staff.
The only way Callahan would leave if he was offered a HC job, which I doubt he's a leading candidate. God forbid if something happen to Rex, took ill, Callahan would be the interim coach of the Jets.
If he can turn Ducasse into a startable o-lineman, Callahan would go from amazing o-line coach to virtual miracle worker. He's a huge, huge part of this coaching staff and a brilliant hire by the Jets FO.
You may want to read some of the past threads on BS before proceeding with an appreciation thread for him.
Big Callahan fan right here. I always liked what he did with the Raiders offenses in the early 00's and thought he could take our offense to another level.
A schotty appreciation thread happens when he isn't cute once for 9 weeks straight and the Jets average 34 pts a game.
hell yes!! i am tired of hearing about other team's great run defenses and pass rushes, because people forget that OUR offensive line is a major strength. we impose our will in the trenches, and its a hell of a lot to do with this guy right here. good to see him get some love, but hopefully not too much so we can keep him around for a long time.
