That was a sorry version of "Damn it feels good to be a Gangsta." This one's sung by a guy in green and the lyrics are correct.

I'm new to the board so I guess this is a good spot for the ole first post.
First football game I ever watched was Superbowl 3. I've been a longsuffering fan ever since.

I've also been a Mets Fan for the same amount of time, So I guess in a sense that makes me a bandwagon fan. (-:

I can honesty say that other than perhaps that '98 Parcells team, this is the first time I've had the feeling that the Jets are the team to beat in the NFL. Even in '98 It took a while to make me a believer after that 0-2 start, and while those '85,'86 teams were very, very good, there was a lot of parody in the league at the time and I never really had the sense that the Jets were "it".

This year is different, and I base it not so much on how strong we look on paper, but the road we've taken to get here.
When I look at last year's team, I can only shake my head in amazement at what the team accomplished despite having a rookie QB with one of the lowest ratings in the league, and then overcoming (two) 3 game losing streaks to make the playoffs? Remarkable.

Even in looking at the games we lost last year you can only wonder what might have been had Mr Sanchez had some experience under his belt and a little more firepower on offense. The defense litterally took the entire team on it's back and carried it to within a win from the Superbowl.

Now With his (and the team's) baptism by fire complete, an awesome array of offensive weapons at his disposal, and a defense that has proven it can be as dominant as any in the league, I believe this is the most complete Jets football team I have seen in my lifetime, and truly believe that they control their own destiny.... and the scary part?

I don't think we've seen them hit full stride yet!

For the first time ever I can look fans of rival teams square in the eye and say,
"I'm a Jets fan, and being a Jets fan I'm painfully aware of what has happened in our past, and would be a fool to think it couldn't happen again, but you know what?
My team's better than yours, and the only thing that's gonna stop them this year...is the New York Jets"

    Believe it.

It's really Ryan that we are talking about here in terms of feeling good about this team. The players buy into his approach. And win games.

    It's all good.

While I hated that we didn't play our best last night, I obviously LOVED that we still won. That's all that matters right?

IMO, the great teams find ways to win when they're not at their best. There's gonna be games when you're not at ur best. If you can win those games that shows resilience and poise. I'm not saying we're a great team yet but we're showing signs. Battling back from adversity against the Patriots (losing Revis, down at half game looked DONE), stomping the Bills in their house in what was supposed to be a "trap" game and winning last night despite doing a lot of things in the second half that would have prevented that

we won, and we finished the game on a pick 6.

i seriously don't give a shit or care to dwell on the bad. the weather was awful and shit happens. Fact is, this team will pay more good games than they do bad, and if we can win games were we play bad and not at our best then that's the making of a champion.(i dont think we played bad persay, but made more mistakes in certain phases than normaL).

we're 4 and fuckin 1 baby!!!!!!!!!! First place in the AFC east and tied for the best record in the national football league.

    get em

Denver better watch out because they're going to get their finesse style team fancy pants heads ripped off

God ESPN was a fucking parody of itself with that fucking banner like it was a moment that actually mattered.

    COVER THE GAME ASSHOLES.

I can't wait for this old fuck to finally retire once and for all.

I hated when JAWS said " boy I'd like to see Favre get another chance". Everything they said was about the Vikings, how about the Jets breaking the 150 team yards rushing against the Vikes D, and all the hype about Adrian, nothing about him being a 0 factor! Like always no credit for the Jets, just what the other team does wrong...
