This feels like the beginning of last year, with Greene behind someone in the RB rotation. The guy just needs work to do well...if you remember last year everyone was complaining he wasn't getting enough work, then once he did start getting the bulk of the carries, he exploded. LT's been awesome so I don't want to see them limit his carries much, but Greene, in my opinion, needs more work to be more effective. Agree?

Boy, Greene has faced some tough defenses so far this year. If anything, I'm shocked at how well Tomlinson is doing, not so much how average Greene has looked.

Greene has been getting some tough yards.

    He'll be fine.

Well he seems like he gets stronger with more and more rushing attempts. The thing is we're less ground and pound because Sanchez is playing lights out

Not enough plays to go around. Sanchez and LDT are in the zone right now, let them keep going. Greene will be big for us down the stretch when the weather gets bad and we need to pound the football.

I'd like to see him more in these early games but I think Rex and Schottenheimer are going to do the same thing they did with him last year and save his reps in the early games to keep him fresh for the latter portion of the season.

To be honest, not really. Tomlinson has been much better all year, and I believe you give the ball to the guy who gives you the best chance to win. I also remember that last year Greene got hurt in ways that seemed related to his punishing style, and we saw it again today, so for the Jets to get almost 150 yards rushing without him pounding the ball is okay with me.

Miami's defence against the run was good, I think it was a good idea to have LT's versatility on the field for the majority of the first half plays at least - Greene's north-south style wasn't going to come up with much, I didn't feel. We've got a variety of weapons and it's good to use the right one based on the situation.

You're looking at Greene's contribution all wrong.

The "classic" stats aren't in Shonn's favor right now, but in the last two games, he leads the league in smack-you-in-the-mouth's per carry.

I fucking love the way Greene runs. Every play he looks to hit somebody. It's going to be fun watching John Conner and Shonn Greene get into a rhythm later this season.

So Sanchez throws 3 TD's for a second game in a row, LT gashes the Phins and Scores, Keller looks to be the next great up and coming TE, and you want to take the ball out of thier hands?

No, this is a bad Idea.

We don't have to rely on Greene as much because LT turned into a fuckn' 25 year old.

I like Greene starting over LT. Wasnt a big fan of LT starting this game...Would like to bring out a fresh LT later in the game, but jesus christ LT is playing like a freak.

Absolutely in the zone. I think playiong the hot hand is the right decision.

My only concern is LT breaking down toward the end of the season. I'd like to see Chauncey get some running time too against a weaker DLine this year.

But Greene is definitely a hard hitter for running. I'm confident in his abilities.

I disagree completely. I want Greene's reps kept down so he's fresh as hell as the season wears on. This offense is clicking beautifully right now.

Right now, LT is running the ball well and they're going with the hot hand. That's all this is.

I am 100% confident that come November, December, and hopefully deep into January/February this will change. Cold weather games Greene will be getting 20 carries a game minimum because noone will want to take him down. He knows how to finish runs, and that is way more effective in the cold than nice weather. Greene will be fine.

I think both of these guys are complementing the fuck out of each other. LT showing how it's done, and Greene grounding and pounding with pure force and limiting the damage on LT's older body.

I've never seen such a complete NY jets backfield since McNeil and Harper.

If Greene is repeating last season, then I can't wait for the second half of the season, a fresh SG going into the POs , nice!

And I told a friend of mine that the Jets will not be #1 in rushing this year due to this reason.

Its going to be a much more balanced gameplan because the kid can sling the rock as good as anyone in the league.

I think the RB rotation is just fine the way it is. Lets not fuck with a winning formula
