I saw the stats for his challenges and how good he is compared to the league.

I love the call on trying to get a restart of downs when the fins had 21 men on. Thought it was well worth spending the time out.

I had to post up appreciation on this. He had a few mistakes his rookie year but he's got better as the year went on.

We are a long way off from the days of Herm and Dick Curl clock management my friends. We should all be very thankful for Rex's ability to seize an advantage.

I am a Jets fan and I have a man crush on Rex Ryan...

Yeah that "completion" to Bess that would've been overturned hurt us, but you know what, fuck it, we won.

I'd change it to the Booth Appreciation thread if you are making this based off Challenges.

    They tell him.

I'm wearing my "lets go get a goddamn snack" all day.

The coach I wanted. The QB I wanted. This team is made up of people I wanted before they were Jets. I fucking love this team.

Props to Callahan and Westy and everyone else in his ear all game.

    Dennis Thurman too.

I always see those three the most standing with him gameplanning.

I can't change the title... You get what I mean though yes?

And yes I know he missed the Bess completion but they didn't get the replay fast enough. You can't win it all...

Did anyone else want the Jets to force miami to use their timeouts in the 4th quarter when we were on their 1 yard line with 3 minutes left? I thought possibly kneeing on the ball there would have been a good call then on fourth down try and punch it in. Worse comes to worse, miami has the ball on their 1 yard line with no timeouts and only around 1:30 left on the clock...... just a thought.

Anyone else have this thought during the game?

    No. That's Herm bullshit.

I wanted them to go for two and make it 9 pts. Then they game would have been over.

he's made great strides since last year.... so he can't make more?

A realist would have the patience to wait and see. You fail, grasshopper.

I disagree, Rex was calm, cool and collected tonight. He managed the clock perfectly and using the challege flag for the 12th man on the field was brilliant, he gave our defense a rest and didnt lose anything by doing it. GTFO

No. You do it exactly how the Jets did it. You score whenever you can and ensure that the worst case scenario is going into overtime. Taking a knee is just the type conservative approach that leads to losing football games.

Maybe one knee but, kneeling 3 times and going to it on the 4th? Dear God, no.

If only we could have the opposition trying to get 21 men on the field more often we would never lose.

Agreed, 100%. If Miami was going to march down the field to score a TD, they probably would've added the 2 anyway. And you've got a better than 50% shot to make the 2-point conversion.
