No argument here. He and Zach Thomas turned what could have been several mediocre defenses into power houses thanks to their play and leadership.

I know I am on one extreme side of this kind of thing. I have almost. . .
Check that, I have no concern about where a guy played before he joined/joins the Jets. I also don't care much about what a guy does after leaving the Jets. For instance, the Leon Washington TDs today did not move me in any way.
I was one of the rare people on this board who wanted the Jets to acquire Taylor. It doesn't bother me in the least to root for him now.

I understand how people were weirded out about the Taylor acquisition during the offseason, but the weirdness should have dissipated by now.

3423, Ted, and Finnasty are probably the only 3 dolfin fans that have any class that come on this board.

Jury is still out on Rickyfan, but so far so good...

If Miami could've had an offense in those years, we would've been very good. But coaching and quarterback play was horrendous.

Read my post in the "To all Dolphins Fans" thread. It should be on either the last page or the second to last page. I'm not afraid to give credit where credit is due, and the Jets play a hell of a game tonight.

Pretty much just missing an all-pro running back. In the 80s especially. But, if Ricky doesn't space out for those 2 or 3 years, the Fins might have won at least a ring.

"Jason Taylor Can Enter the Hall as a Jet"

"I am sick of this guy. He can enter the Hall of Fame with a Jets jersey and his ballerina pants/shoes. He should be permanently exempt from Miami's Honor Roll, too. As far as I am concerned, he's simply Mr. 62-7 and Mr. Monday Night Miracle: The face of the biggest playoff blowout and Monday night defensive meltdown in modern history. Most overrated Dolphin of all-time."

    I lol'd.

Yeah Ricky reall fucked us over when he retired, and quite frankly, I'm amazed how the Dolphins and the fanbase has embraced him. I'm glad he's here, but he basically launched the epic Dolphins collapse. yeah it was coming, but he was the last straw. He clearly has mental problems, which everyone knows now.

you know...that really surprises me too. I thought when he first came back he'd literally get killed. He's still a good back and was pretty good when Brown went down last season, so that may be why he's not dead right now.

The guy is a pro. He's playing with an extremely painful injury and he's playing at a very high level. And even at his advanced age, he's still our best pass-rusher. Bottom line: There's no reason not to love the guy. He's a jet now, not a dolphin. It's really that simple.

    Taylor's passion has been great.

I really loved during the postgame interview how he said he was disappointed in the defensive line for not getting pressure. That sounds weird to be happy about, but I think he is right and that's him being a leader.

The pressure does need to improve and with that kind of foresight it will help keep the team focused. I think Taylor being a leader on this team along with L.T. is something to really watch for. I think both are really showing why they are hall of fame type veterans.

He basically slapped our entire organization in the face by giving up on us, and go smoke weed living in a tent in Australia. It really upset and offended our entire fanbase, and I truly don't understand how we fans ever recovered from that. Looking back, it was a good things. We would've burned him out. He retired cause dumbass Wannstedt was running him 350 times a year. Had he not retired, he would not be playing anymore.
