great read.. the fact that he is picking off passes per game is a good sign. Good addition for the jets and a good addition for my fantasy football defense... lol.

But really i think once he gets comfortable in the defense with his awareness and physical gifts he will be more of a game changing risk taking type... opposed to a shut down ( not to say he will shut some recievers down from time to time)

Sanchez told Cromartie to ball all year long, so he impregnated 9 women on the way home from the game.

    Lol.

Don he's not even the best Cromartie at his position. Although Dominique does have the power of the hyphen and another last name.

Holy shit, dude. Top 5? Not even close. For someone that was acutely aware of Ty Law's PI issues, you seem just as obtuse concerning Cromartie's ability.

He's going to want money, the Jets should give him money...to an extent; certainly not Revis money or a whole lot of guaranteed money. Between Cromartie and Revis, the Jets would have a solid secondary for years to come. Hopefully they resign him; if not, we always have Kyle Wilson to mature into hopefully the next Revis.

Im a big fan of Cromartie. I deff think he was one a main reason the Pats offense died completely in the second half.

i hope this is the start of him playing to his potential

when revis is 100% his side of the field is untouchable if cromartie can play 1/2 as good the jets can win games even when the offense is terrible

I'm not trying to stir shit up here, but saying that Cromartie is a top 5 corner is riciulous...

You're right. I think he's a top 20 corner with the potential to be a top 10 CB. If he plays at that same level he did in the 2nd half on Sunday then top 5 could be possible. I don't see that happening though.

He has great athletic ability, his problem is that he isn't consistant and he has failed to piece it all together, except for that 1 year. 2007, I believe it was.

Can you do me a favor? Find the poster that said that, and look at the title by his name. Then kindly delete your post.....thanks.

Being a top 5 athlete in the NFL, certainly doesn't make him a top player, let alone a top 5 player at his own position. He is certainly a top flight athlete, one of the best.......... Top flight football player, not so much.

Cromartie definitely has the potential to be a top 10 corner.

But I feel that playing along side Revis he very well could be the guy who leads the nfl in INTs year in and out or at least be up there every year .

With Revis completely shutting down #1s and someone like Kyle Wilson on the #3 id expect Cromartie to get a ton of balls FORCED his way giving him more opportunities for INTs than anyone in the league. Not to mention having the most often blitzing team in the nfl also means hes going to see a ton of poorly thrown passes coming his way. If the Jets sign him long term, I could absolutely see him breaking so many INT records

Im just thanking god we dont have Sheppard anymore.

That and being 6'2 with a massive wingspan and great ball skills (on and off the field).

That's why cromartie is a great pick up. His skill set matches up perfectly with Revis and Wilson. Revis blankets the best receiver and Wilson on the slot guy. Cro is like a ballhawk safety with suspect tackling skills playing CB. I had doubts in his coverage ability but after his job on Moss he's shown he has what it takes. Moss is a top 5 receiver in this league so a team's #2 receiver shouldn't be too much of a worry. If he plays smart and keeps the penalty flags in the refs' pockets he will be a turnover machine. Let's hope the ravens game was an anomaly.
