It's worse than a little difficult, it's ridiculous. They make you walk down the 20 ramps from the upper bowl to street level if you wanna smoke a cigarrette or cigar. I'm all for designated smoking zones and keeping that stuff away from the public who hate cigarrette smoke but I don't think it'd kill the Jets to put a couple smoking zones in place. It's like a 15 min walk down those ramps each way.
Yesterdays crowd on a scale of one to 10 was a 7. As far as previous loud games, the day we clinched the division and beat Favre and the Packers , that day was a 9. Loudest ever BY FAR in all my years of going I never heard anything like it was last years Pats game---UNREAL! If we could duplicate that it would be amazing--that day the needle was pinned in the red on 10 from anthem to final gun!!!! If there had been a roof it would have blown off!!!
Thought it sounded LOUD for our fans on TV. that new stadium is not like the old stadium. It amplifies the sound quite well.... our new stadium is a true palace I think. You were there on a historic day. 1st jets win. You were the 12th man... sounded great on TV
I think that Jets fans have done a great job in making noise in the new stadium. I remember driving to the Week 1 game vs Ravens and listening to Mike Francesa on WFAN on the ride down field calls from Giants' fans who had been to the Panthers game the prior day. Mike concluded that the Giants have "lost" a big part of their home field advantage in the "cavernous" new stadium filled with quieter PSL holders down low. While last year's Pats game was louder start to finish, I sit down low (135) and was very happy both with the noise level and % of loud hard core Jets fans that are in my section. Time for Francessa to eat some crow on this point but I doubt he will. Maybe the fact that a good chunk of the Giants crows is Andy Rooney's age may have more to do with the decibel level than the new stadium.
I still think that the colts game from a few years ago was the loudest game ive ever been to. When miller ran the kickoff back for a TD, it was insane.
lol i was at that game, people were jumping out of their seats and jumping down rows after Miller's KR. it was nuts.
Nowhere near as consistently loud as last week or last year vs. NE BUT it was a good crowd overall. Kind of falling asleep in the 1st half but it was great in the 2nd half.
