Nickel covers the slot, Welker will be in the slot. So even assuming either Cromartie or Revis do cover Welker they will technically be in the "nickel" even though they obviously aren't our 3rd corner.
jets 27 pats 24 i think brady gets a couple of tds early on cro and wilson but a stagnant running game from the pats will let the jets get back in the game.. sanchez throws for under 200 and a pick but gets 2 TDs, one on a screen to LT. i think green will rush for around 100 and a score and the jets D grinds out a W.
There really isn't a nickle in Rex's D. You man up on your guy and that's it. There are times where you see the DB's switchoff early on the routes but there are also times where you'll see Revis all of a sudden playing the #3 outta nowhere to confuse...
Nickel package I meant. If I were Rex, I'd have Revis cover Moss and Cromartie cover Welker. The way Rex had it last wk, I can't be too sure how much Revis covers Moss. Wilson definitely can't cover Welker. Not right now at least. Wilson has to be covering their 3rd WR (Edelman?).
Welker is going to get some catches (7-12 catches). We have to limit his YAC. Cromartie is not the bast tackler, so I'd rather him not cover Welker. Let Wilson cover Welker with calculated safetly help.
The Patriots front 7 doesn't impress me at all. Other than Wilfork, Mayo and Banta-Cain, they have question marks at every position. (Nothing like the Ravens front 7). I really cant picture the Pats front 7 being able to stop our run game, this is the week Shonn Greene goes off for 140 yards with 2 TD's. The Jets offensive line doesn't allow a single sack today. Our rushing attack sets up our passing game today. Sanchez will feed off it. Mark Sanchez goes 14-24, 210 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT's. Keller with 7 catches, Edwards with 3 catches, Cotchery with 2 catches (1 TD), L.T with 2 catches. Our run defense keeps the Patriots run offense under 60 yards. 31-13 Pats unfortunately. I think the Jets will get it together this season,but it's gonna be a rough start. We will beat Miami and then it will start to turn around.
