    I predicted 0-2 in May.....

Starting of Vs the Ravens and the Pats could put ANY team in a 0-2 hole...

So far, the only thing that stings me is Kris Jenkins but, we have been there before.

The pressure will be off when we go 0-4...personally, I think there is MORE pressure now to win the next three weeks than there was winning week 1, a non-divisional game.

Getting your teeth kicked in like last night can be a good wake up call. Now we just have to hope the team wakes the fuck up from it.

    I agree in a sense.

They needed a dose of reality that the talent they have means nothing unless they execute and play focused.

It doesn't kill the hype, but it shows the players that they are vulernable when they make mistakes. so in that sense, i think they alleviated some of the pressure on themselves personally. They're a good team that can win if they play well, not a super human team that can lose by playing like jackasses.Shonn Greene obviously was nervous as hell, and so were a bunch of other players.

I really would love home field advantage, so we need to win as many games as possible....but the fact is, it's not how you start the season. it's how you end it.

rather work out our bugs now than in week 16.

anyways, these division games are key. if we rip off 3 in a row and are 3-0 in the division after week 4....this game will be an afterthought for most people.

    so lets get it done

    Get Serious

I am sure we all will be looking out for the Jets. It's one thing to lose the first game, but when you gaurantee a Super Bowl after backing in to the playoffs. The rest of the league including my Pats see the Jets as a very good Defensive team. That's it. The Pats had no Welker for game 2 last year. When we did in the next matchup the Pats destroyed the Jets. Cromartie is a joke McCourty will be the next great CB not the kid from Boise. Can you imagine Rex stating that you would still win the Super Bowl without Revis. Without revis the best CB in football the Jets finish 3rd in the AFC East. 77 plays Revis against Moss 7 obvious dbl teams. Your D-Coord. finally admitted Revis got help over the top from a safety all Game against an injured Randy Moss. Lets see how Revis does without any help it's called cover Zero. All you Jet fans have been waiting for this game for a while. The Pats are coming, and they are going to send a very big Message. We don't mind the Colts and Steelers we have respect. But when the Nobody Jets start mouthing off like they are the defending Champs. You get what you deserve. Jets 7-9 very difficult locker room this year. You added to many Malcontents.

This loss may prove to be a real silver lining for the 2010 season. A major wake up call against probably the toughest team we will face all season. Our weaknesses were revealed and now we have to adress those problems and move forward. Thats is what good teams do.

If the doom & gloom crowd wants to abandon the team and leave - feel free to let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya. Losers quit and give up. Winners get up off the mat, dust themselves off and get back in the ring.

This loss may turn out to be one of the best things that could have happened to this team.

p.s. who guaranteed a super bowl??? Where is that quote?

I believe there were some players last night that had in mind that all they had to do was show up and it would be handed to them. And all they got handed to them was there asses.

Get back to what we are, a power running game that plays great defense for 3 quarters and smashes the ball down the opponents throats until by the fourth, they cry uncle. I think you'll see that next week.

we all knew today's day was coming. the jets lose and the following day everyone laughs at us for being loud mouth trash talkers that can't back it up.

I knew it was going to happen because the Jets weren't going 16-0. Every time the Jets lose a game this will be the media reaction. Everyone will laugh at us. We better get used to it under Rex. I'm ok with it as long as we back it up and become a consistent playoff team every season. If they eventually do win it'll be that much sweeter.

rex ryan's trash talk which basically puts a stamp on the jets entire team as trash talkers which we really aren't.

Exactly - this "OMG OMG the jets are such trashtalkers" crap is starting to piss me off - Rex never guaranteed a SB and never that I saw said anything much beyond "I think we are a good team and can win the SB" - this whole trash talking thing is utter bullshit and completely manufactured by haters and/or a media starved of any decent stories to write about. Rant over.

Wasn't that essentially the talk from the Jets all offseason and preseason?

Now it has changed, I see. Now the Jets will play for real starting in Week 2. Okay, I'll make note of that. Let me grab a pen. What do you think I should write in the September 19 box on the calendar on my wall?
"Jets play for real starting today"
    or
"NFL needs to watch the fuck out beginning today"
