Rex is enthusiastic, a defensive coaching genius, tests very highly in creativity and problem solving but is dyslexic; some people don't like him, but he's the guy NFL players would want to play for more than any other coach. Woody Johnson and Mike Tannenbaum don't want their team to be like the Giants. There is (or perhaps was) an "extravagantly well muscled" Jet that Rex thinks is on roids.
That's the obvious choice, but it's hard to see why he would say that to a reporter (even if it was off the record) when he has been so public in his support for the guy.
Great article. What can you say? Rex is just one of a kind, just one Rex. An original doesn't need to imitate.
