With everything equal character is the determining factor! I beleive we had a good draft. It will take a few years to see the character fact surface!
well then im wrong, but regardless im sure hes 7th rd physical talent at best. and that wont cut it in the pro's. he could be another coach on the field if he wants to, but we need PLAYERS. hell i hope im proven wrong for the better of the team, but there were SO many other players we couldve taken at that point.
that's what I thought with the Chargers at one point but it's all molding up now in Chargerville. We have the most tight group of guys in the league - without the egos. Believe me, character goes a long way than talent nowadays. Although we've had a few players who have had run ins with the law: Steve Foley: dui, resisting arrest Shaun Philips: resisting arrest after a fight with his girlfriend Matt Wilhelm: DUI David Binn: Pamela anderson's boyfriend DUI Can't help it...this is so cal where the party never ends down here!
The Chargers are a great example of an underachieving team. Highly talented team that not only should have made the playoffs but should have been a serious SB conteder and they didn't do squat.
I tell ya...the Chargers were no joke and are gearing up for 07 starting with mini camps tomorrow. We could have set ourselves up for a 14-2 record had it not been some bad plays down the stretch on some games. I don't think there would be any team in those playoffs teams that made it that can seriously pose a problem for us except for Pitt and the Donkies. Can't do anything about that now. Oh well....:breakdance:
I don't think they are choosing by character alone. I'm sure that the players they choose have the ability to get the job done and those with fewer character issues will devote more time trying to improve the team versus doing things that may be detrimental to the team.
