I know this doesn't belong here, but since I can't start a new thread yet, I figured I would get a response in the most viewed thread. Does anyone know if you need tickets or something for today's practice at Hofstra? Or is there a charge when you get there or something?

You need to make a $20 donation to TGG.COM, or in the alternative, click every ad banner for the next 8 hours, and then we'll provide you with ticket information.

No, you don't need tickets. Let's hope they won't cancel it due to this bad weather.

No tickets necessary. Family Day runs 4-6 (bouncy houses for the kids and stuff), then practice starts at 6.

Tried to make it to practice but heard it was starting early so I decided against it. Good thing since it was cut short.

I went and it was a good time the weather held out and the stadium was about 90% full, it was a big turn out. Got to see the players up close at the end and got some nice pictures and autographs.

After a sloppy practice Tuesday, QB Mark Sanchez was razor-sharp Wednesday night before 10,000 fans at Hofstra.

The players weren't in full pads, so it had a 7-on-7 feel, but Sanchez was noticeably crisp and accurate. Afterward, Rex Ryan noted that "the ball hit the ground only twice" with Sanchez running the offense. Ryan noticed more intensity from Sanchez, who was exhorting his teammates throughout the session. He hit WR Jerricho Cotchery for a 61-yard TD pass, and he hit three straight passes to TE Dustin Keller in a 7-on-7, red-zone drill.

    Other practice notes:

Time share at left guard. Matt Slauson received most of the reps with the first unit, but rookie Vladimir Ducasse did get time with the starting offense, as Ryan had promised. Look for Ducasse to see some time with the starters Friday night against the Washington Redskins. Ryan insists the competition still hasn't been decided.

The 'ol alma mater. Two former Hofstra stars, WR Wayne Chrebet and C John Schmitt, were in attendance and watched practice from the sideline.

Speaking of guests... Former Florida State coach Bobby Bowden was in the house. The Jets heard he was in town and invited to the practice. The Jets have two former Seminoles on their roster, CB Antonio Cromartie and WR Laveranues Coles, who was booted off the Florida State team by Bowden after an arrest. It was a brief reunion.

"He said hello and I say hey, and I kept moving," Coles said. "That chapter in my life is closed. He told me he didn't want me representing the university. OK, cool. I'm at a different place in my life."

An early start on Baltimore. LB Bart Scott said he began his Ravens prep work three months ago, when he started breaking down tape of RB Ray Rice, a former teammate. "I know what he can do, he knows me," Scott said. "It's going to be a great battle ... He's a great back, but they all have holes."

Yer Outta Here. One of the highlights (or lowlights) of the night came when a drunk fan, about 35, ran on the field and took a spot on defense, lining up as a safety. He was wrestled to the ground by four security personnel and escorted from the stadium.

"If that lasted any longer," Ryan said, "I was going to send The Terminator (rookie FB John Conner) after him."

I almost died after reading the last line.:rofl:
