Mathews. Maybe I should be, but I'm still not sold on Charles. It's clear San Diego wants Mathews to touch the ball a ton this year, and I think the Oline will be keen prove they can do more than just pass block. The fact that KC signed Jones to a decent contract tells me they'll be getting him the ball, and the goal line is where he earns that paycheck. San Diego will continue to be a high scoring offense with plenty of TD opportunities for a runner like Mathews... I have him early 2nd round/borderline 1st round on my rankings right now. Rice and Jackson are neck and neck in my book. I guess I would give Rice the slight nod just because Favre seems like a little more of a sure thing, but Jackson could easily have a monster year and be a surefire 1st round pick in 2011. The fact that Jennings didn't have a great year last year while Aaron Rodgers ran away with the fantasy scoring title scares me a little bit. Rice/Jackson > Jennings. I'd actually be interested to hear some other opinions on Mathews vs Charles, and Rice vs Jackson vs Jennings.
That's correct. It goes AJ, Wayne, Megatron, Austin, DJackson, Moss, then Fitz. Call me crazy but I really could see any of these guys being the top WO this year. I think Fitz gets doubled now and with having Leinart I expect an average season for him. With Moss I question his passion, plus he'll get doubled if Welker isn't back. Clark, Gates has the hardest schedule for any TE. Charles hands down, easy.. Jackson, then Rice, then Jennings
In my PPR league with yardage bonuses, I lean Charles over Mathews because of Charles's big play ability and the fact that he's assuredly the 3rd down back. I'm a big Mathews fan, but Sproles will take a lot of his 3rd down plays, so even if Charles gets 60 less carries, he's a more explosive player and he'll catch the ball more. Non-PPR, it's close. Rice needs to show he's healthy in camp. If he does, he's at the same level as the other two with upside to boot. The choice between those three is a difficult one. I hope I don't have to make it.
