people unfamiliar with the play of Pool will be very excited and relieved once they see him in action. especially those missing a physical presence at safety.

hes been one of the few bright spots on the Browns during his stay. Leonhard described him best Kerry Rhodes has more range but Pool has good size and atop of being well balanced, is extremely physical.

i love the word going round camp about Pool adapting to Rex's system so effortlessly.

ive seen him have his off days but when this guy is on he plays textbook smash mouth football on autopilot.

he will look way better than he did in CLE with more talent on his supporting cast and better coaching. and that gives Jets fans alot to look forward to, even if most Jets fans are unaware of what they will get to see this yr.

Pool is the most underrated safety in the league mark my words and thank god that we got rid of Sherry Rhodes.I watched this guy since he was in oklahoma and I will tell u that he is a top 5 safety in this league just below ed reed and hair polamalo. This guy can knock a player out and can read a defense and int the qb and be used to do anything you want.If hes healthy this guy makes the proball. We got pool, cromartie, wilson and now if revis is back the other teams can forget about passing on us.But if revis doesn't come we will be fine and trade him for aso, seymore, and a first.

I'm with you Turk. Chronic migraines can be totally debilitating. There are some excellent new medications available, but its a big concern regarding POOL (the spellcheck police are out there). But Ihedigbo has been one heckuva a Safety for us and he just gets better and better - so I am not that worried about depth at Safety.

I now hate Brodney Pool because you think he's good. Thanks a lot.

i see experto is now banned. I will miss him.

As to a trade for Aso, no, that will never happen. We are not that stupid, we'd have to pick up that god awful contract. Might as well sign Revis for everything he asks for instead of trading for Aso.

Except when our offense is playing, that's be a senseless too many men on the field penalty.

Did you know his sons name was Kiddy?

I think that Pool could be the biggest addition to the team from this offseason because he addresses the only area on the team where the starters showcase a need. Holmes, Tomlinson, Wilson, etc. are all cool to talk about but none of them play safety. If this Jets defense is to be elite they need another safety to play opposite Leonhard. If Pool is that guy, look out!

It was enough for me to hear Bart Scott singing his praises this week saying this was exactly what the D needs from the safety position.
