    Nobody reaches top speed that quickly so it's definitely slower.

    I know I mentioned that... but a guy like Gatlin would be faster then any other guy in the NFL and would likely place somewhere in the 4.0 to 4.1 range...

    One thing to consider: track runners react to a gun, while football players start running whenever they want. Probably not that much time to an Olmpic sprinter, but he would still probably run it faster than any football player ever.

    There is a guy when I was a freshman he was a junior in highschool.
    His name is jerry butler. He played for George washington hs in Pa.
    I attended the college combines and Jerry ran a 4.19. He plays for Wisconsin right now. He is a freshman

    when michael johnson ran the 100 m in the olympics. He was clock at 3. something when the people doing the calculations timed him
