Ummm . . . Yeah . . . The title kind of says it all. "The biggest upset in Superbowl history" is playing. Catch it then. Have fun. /Thread
Surviveone AKA Vince Wilson asked me to post this awesome picture: From the Left, Gerry Wilson (Kyle's brother); Randy Bevery, (NY JETS -1969 SB III, DB, 2 interceptions); Kyle Wilson; and Vince Wilson (Kyle's brother).
My dad makes a tackle on the opening punt for the Jets. They pronounce his last name wrong. Here is the clip from the game. It's at the 3:31 mark of the following YouTube clip.
it wasn't an upset. and, the chiefs kicked the crap of the vikings the next year as well. if it wasn't for lombardi, the afl could have won all 4 of the frirst games.
Of course it was an upset. Whether or not a game is an upset is based upon the point spread. It is not based on your opinions of the teams' relative strengths and abilities, mr nyjet. And what does that bit about Lombardi mean? You really think Dallas would have lost to KC and Oakland in Super Bowls 1 and 2? I don't know about that. Dallas played Green Bay down to the wire in the '66 and '67 NFL Championship Games. Green Bay was not a significantly better team than Dallas.
Probably four mundane plays. If I watch this tonight (not likely), I would be able to figure out what four plays were omitted.
I forgot how they rarely had the game clock in view, score, down/distance, etc., but I loved seeing it again....I was 11 when the game was played...little did I know at the time to savor it more...
That must've been exciting though, what a great age to experience that. Where you a Jet fan at that point, or did that win put you on this long green road?
I think it might be the first few plays from the Colts scoring drive. I don't believe those plays exist outside of the NFL Films version and radio broadcast.
