For the billionth time...I do want them to win it all. Why should I be depressed over them losing? The Jets are not the only thing that makes me happy. I have other things I can resort to when the season is over...hobbies, schoolwork, girl friend, friends, family and other sports.
Yes, but only for a day or two. Then you start looking forward to next year and, in the meantime, get on with other stuff. At the moment I'm watching international rugby (England got beaten at the weekend, which didn't help my mood) looking forward to the cricket matches against India, REALLY looking forward to the soccer World Cup and all the time, enjoying coming to this board to talk about my favourite team in any sports, the Jets. I do get depressed when the Jets lose, but life goes on. It's just a part of it. I don't mean to criticise anybody else who may take defeat harder. They're not wrong, and I'm not right, but my approach works for me.
I wouldn't be suprised. Anyone remember how stressful that Chargers Jets playoff game was? I was mentally and especially physically drained after that game. I remember after Doug hit the winner I went nuts with my family and then after I sat back down my entire body was just exhausted...never had that happen after game.
Your do not look forward till next year if you had analyzed that "next" year was going to be worse that you just completed.
Who cares? We are fans...you just root for the team to get better...why worry about something you have ZERO control over? Obviously I care if they are worse then the previous year, but I am not going to think that. Good fans root for their team through thick and thin.
