Revis, Mangold & Harris all speaking out about Contracts

That's for the new flash Tom Brokow. We didn't have a dedicated thread to each player already or anything....

 

its not like we don't have threads on everybody already... that said don't worry Tanny will get it done. the good news is we have a full year to get everyone under wraps, and in the case of Revis, we have 2 full years to get situated. Worst comes to worst, we get one of Mangold/harris under contract and franchise the other one to buy time until they work out a long term deal...

You don't think Mangold would be a bit offended by that? He's been here longer. It probably doesn't matter, but just a thought.

 

I hope these guys have Alvin Keels as their agent so we can get these deals done quick.

 

I love Mangold, best center in the NFL, but with these 30% restrictions and Revis being a God and wanting to get paid, I'd rather piss off Mangold then Revis. CB is so much more important then C. However I don't see it being an issue Mangold was a 1st rd pick its not like he has been making piss low NFL standard type of money. At the end of the day, I think both will be Jets for a longtime.

Mambo and I each had posts outlining why the 30% rule shouldn't affect Mangold's negotiations nearly as much as people may assume. With the news about Revis today, I'd assume the only reason Mangold isn't being dealt with right now is the team wants Revis in the fold at the right rate first.
