Wonder what Mangini and Tannenbaum are doing these days? Doesn't appear to be too much going on, any thoughts?
This is usually the slow time in the football season. The only real news comming out soon will be the signing of draft picks.
Actually, June 1st cuts are just around the corner. This time next week things could be interesting. After that, a month of almost nothing until TC starts.
There won't be many June 1st cuts. New CBA allows 2 players to be cut prior to June 1st, and count as June 1st cuts so they are free earlier.
My guess is we're gonna have slow news until the start of training camp. As pointed out above June 1st means very little these days and draft pick signings are about as exciting as watching moss grow on a rock. Our best bet for interesting news would likely come out of the Ashlie Lelie situation in Denver or maybe the supplemental draft. I think there's a chance that the extra 2nd rounder the Jets have in 2007 could make them a player in either case.
Tangini needs to rest up for the holiday weekend... Then back to business June 1st with the cuts and pickups.
The next person who says Tangini will be forced to use dial-up internet service.... Mangini is the coach, Tannenbaum is the GM...Stop the Tangini MADNESS!!
Mannenbaum? I don't know they seem awfully joined at the hip to me. Much more so than Herm and Bradway ever were.
I think there's a passing camp at the end of this month (next week??), and then full minicamp (OTA) in mid June. So I'm sure they're preparing for that. I'd also think they're trying to script their TC practices, open up some contract negotiations with draft picks, etc. Hanging dry wall and mowing lawns around Weeb Ewbank Hall may also be on the agenda.
Thank you, it's good to be aboard. I wanted to start slow, then ramp up so this might be the right time. BTW is One Love you favorite Bob Marley album?
