Looking back at our expectations of when we first signed Pace, do you think he lived up to them? why or why not?

my expectations weren't very high for pace, but yes he lived up to them.

he had 7 sacks and 5 forced fumbles 2 years ago, the same year i believe we had the #1 run defense. last year he had 8 sacks and 3 forced fumbles in only 12 games, and contributed as a starter to the #1 defense and #1 pass defense.

finally, he was a game changer in the week 16 game last year by sacking curtis painter and allowing douglas to roll into the end-zone for the go ahead touchdown.

i can't wait to see how he performs in year 2 as he'll have more experience in rex's system. also, the addition of cromartie and wilson will make quarterbacks have to hold on the ball a tad longer as most of the wide receivers will be locked down.

Yes Calvin Pace is the man. He makes a good amount of plays behind the LOS and is a good all around player. His coverage is suspect but he is a converted DE so its whatever. He gets to the QB, FFs, and makes plays against the run. I'm a big Pace fan, he is a playmaker.

I love Pace. I think he doesn't get enough credit. 8 sacks in 12 games is a nice stat. I can't wait to see what he does next year. I have been trying to figure out what jersey to get this year and I think I might add him in to the mix. Holmes and Pace would be two wild ones that most people wounldn't get...I hope he get 10+ sacks...i think he should.

You really just create a thread for any question that pops into your head don't you?

Pace has been solid in my book....

Please next time a question pops in your head, ask a friend (if you have any) or askjeeves (if you don't).

Not only has lived up to expectations, he's surpassed them as the best spectator of auto-erotica on the team!

Calvin Pace is an underrated player. He was our best player during the preseason and he started to play like that against the Raiders. Great the rest of the season. He'll have a career year this season, no doubt.

Yea, because asking people a football related question on a football message board is jsut annoying. There is so much more to talk about this off season.

...or, the next time you have the need to be a complete ass to a poster, how about you just not click on the thread he started? Your just keeping his thread on page one by posting and being an ass about it.

.... Pace is a key cog in our defense. He's every thing I hoped for and more at the time of his signing. If Taylor can provide any pass rush at all we are going to be much better on third down this season and thats scary.
