Florio is the Perez Hilton of sports bloggers. I don't necessarily consider him a "reporter" by any stretch of the imagination.
Did anyone hear the Rod Woodson "She said no!" chant? I'm completely in the woods on that one- was he accused of something a few years ago?
That chant was for Ben Roethlisberger. I believe Woodson was announcing the Steelers' pick at that point.
Pretty sure it was because it was the Steelers pick, nothing to do with Rod. It made me think for a second too. As for the "Feed your kids" chant it, it was legit.
Florio definitely has media credentials.. he's an NBC employee now and made appearances on some halftime shows and ran an NBC chat during sunday night games. Obviously he's jerkoff, but he does have good contacts and breaks stories. His problem is when he tries to expand on information and give his opinion on it. He knows nothing about what it takes to build a football team or how it's played on the field.
What's wrong about Florio? A little jealousy? The guy runs a very solid site and has busted his ass to make himself legitimate. His sources have gotten more reliable over the years and he's pretty insightful. So what if he bashes the Jets? Would you prefer every reporter sound like that clown Serby? I can count on one hand the number of false stories I've read on PFT in the last 5 years. -X-
The best segment of NFL Network all year was when Florio, LaCanfora and Jay Glazer were a panel with Rich Eisen during the combine special. Jay Glazer turns to Florio and says 'You don't know how many coaches and players would love to watch me choke you out right now.' Florio squirmed like the worm he is for the rest of the segment. It was pure, unadulterated awesome.
Since more than one on here say it happened then the bigger question is who are the assholes that chanted it?
