That's not true. The pats had 2 first round DE's on their line and they are still the most dominant team in the arc. You are underrating the DE position.
Donovan Warren is still around as well I just remembered. God I wish Tanny would trade a 6th next year for a pick now and get Barnes. Shit there went Selvie totally forgot about him too. So many gems available right now.
Rich Gunnell, WR Boston College. - This kid will make it in the NFL. Boston College's all time leading reciever. had a great career and finished it off with an excellent bowl game against USC.
Looks like we picked him up. Naw I ain't get drafted but I'm wit the Jets. Let's get it!! http://twitter.com/DonovanWarren

Tanner will sign with Jets By Suzanne Halliburton | Saturday, April 24, 2010, 04:56 PM Offensive guard Charlie Tanner has agreed to a free agent deal with the New York Jets. Tanner confirmed the deal to the American-Statesman after the draft concluded Saturday afternoon. Tanner was a two-year starter for the Longhorns. And he’s a former standout at Anderson High School. http://www.statesman.com/blogs/cont...horns/entries/2010/04/24/tanner_will_sig.html
Posted a couple links to the UDFA's we've gotten so far on www.jetsdaily.com Two latest ones, both of which are intriguing. TE Jeff Cumberland, Illnois: 6'5", 247 pounds with 4.46 speed. Just not that productive in college at Illinois But the one I'm really happy about... OLB Kevin Basped, Nevada Perfect fit as a pass rusher. Many thought we'd grab him late in the draft. Instead we get him as a UDFA. He was a productive pass rusher with prototypical 3-4 size. Would have been fine with him in round 5.
Decent stats for a TE...definitely more of a Keller clone than a Hartsock replacement. Wonder if we're planning on using Hunter there more, or we'll be getting a few in camp. Blocking TE's out of college are like kickers and punters in abundancy so there's not much concern there. I see shades of Colston. Our O is shaping up to be very Saintlike too with a great Schotty-trained QB and more receivers than we know what to do with, although Mark definitely needs to learn how to spread the ball around more.
I love the time of the year where we sign all these young guys with potential. Cuts get so exciting. Hopefully we find more Westermans
Jets Donovan Warren, CB, Michigan Charlie Tanner, OG, Texas Kevin Basped, DE, Nevada Jeff Cumberland, TE, Illinois Keith Buckman, OL, North Dakota State Philip Kirkland, WR, Bethune-Cookman Cory Reamer, LB, Alabama Mick Williams, DT, Pitt Marus Ezeff, S, California (try-out)
http://www.jetsdaily.com/2010/04/jets-2010-undrafted-free-agent-signings.html CB Donovan Warren, Michigan - CB/FS tweener was college star but may lack speed for NFL. OG Charlie Tanner, Texas - Mobile lineman whose best fit comes in zone scheme (like Jets run). DE/OLB Kevin Basped, Nevada - Gifted pass rusher who seems to be a great fit for a 3-4. TE Jeff Cumberland, Illinois - TE with great triangle numbers, little production. OL Keith Buckman, North Dakota State - Productive small school lineman with 33 career starts. WR Philip Kirkland, Bethune-Cookman - Athletic receiver coming off a knee injury. LB Cory Reamer, Alabama - Strictly a special teamer who could battle Lance Laury for a job. DT Mick Williams, Pittsburgh - Undersized (6'1, 280) but productive college defensive lineman. S Marcus Ezeff, California (tryout) - Decent college player but probably training camp fodder S Donye McCleskey, Indiana State (tryout) - Athletic small school safety.
